Multiplayer impressions?

Anyone tried the multiplayer part? Is it possible to trade resources? Is it easy to find your friends on the network, and do you need two separate copies of the game to play "LAN"?

Easy to find people, bunch of random games is created 24/7. No LAN, but hot seat possible. No sim turns for now but i read that they are working on it. You need 2 copies if you want to play something other than hot seat.
