sentinel/praetorian guard
Not sure if mentioned already, but sentinels shouldn't share damage if 1/2 of the original damage already kills the protected stack.
For example, if you have 10 sentinels next to 1 crossbowman. Then the sentinel stack should at most share damage = remain hp of that crossbowman, not 1/2 of the original damage.
Agree?

I dunno... it depends how it was meant to be designed. I wouldn't say that's necessarily a bug. It wouldn't be the only ability in Heroes that has the potential to backfire somewhat.

One could say that the damage is being dealt regardless. Even if it's just 1 crossbowman, the blow that deals 200 damage would deal it anyway. Doesn't matter that the crossbowman can't survive it, the amount shielded wouldn't change. At least, that's how I see it. Personally, I find it a lot more annoying that they shield units that are impervious to harm, due to for instance Guardian Angel.

The problem is that if I make some 1 stack to block, they will transfer the damage to sentinels anyway... or making a wall of sentinels is useless...

Just use 1 sentinel next to a 200 crosbowmen, works better

Hmm, if I have troops like this :
x
xox
x = sentinels
o = marksmen
and the marksmen was hit (say, 2000 damage), will all three sentinel stacks receive shared damage by 1000, or by 1000/3 (since there are three stacks of sentinels)?

Good question. Also, do Sentinels absorb damage from Sentinels next to them, when those are shielding another stack?

Then all stacks will share the damage equally (2000 by 4) = 500 damage to each of them

The sentinels have a 25% damage reduction so it wont be 500 each.
