This should be in the library...
Okies.. morale..
Basically, if morale is good, your troops will be blessed with extra attacks in combat and wandering monsters are more likely to join you.
If morale is low, your troops will freeze in battle.
NB some creatures, like minator kings, always have positive morale. Also, undead are not affected either way by morale.
The are many things in the game which affect morale...

In Heroes IV it changes
According to earlier interviews, morale in H4 will affect initiative (and possibly movement) rather than giving an extra attack or no attack.

Actually, it doesn't give extra turns anymore. It just affects when you get your turn. So with low morale, instead of missing your turn, you might just get your turn last instead, and the opposite if you have high morale.
I suppose it isn't as crucial to have high morale anymore, since you aren't really gaining much. If all your troops have high morale and get an "early" turn, how will that work? Likewise, low morale won't be as bad as it was before either, which is a good thing.

I think it is a good change...
Because if you think about it, the concept of your army being in a good mood shouldnt allow your army to attack twice as much as an army thats not quite as happy (or bloodthirsty), lol.

We know that now themovement in battle depends on haste and movement.
Morale is supposed to increase haste (to make a unit go before another one). But here comes up a question: When (and how) will the morale take effect? I thought of a couple of ideas:
1. At the beginnig of each round the ones who got it got it and 'till the end of the roun they'll have increased haste.
2. When the turn of the unit comes he might get the bird (or whatever it is now), but the increased haste will be used for the next round, hence on the current round it'll be useless.
