He's not the same Lord Haart. None of the heroes with copy-pasted names has something to do with their archetypes. In short, they are all posers.

PHONIES!
Ashan is the second universe since Heroes III, even after after Axeroth (sp?) so it's not even close.

They are supposed to be a tribute to some of the better known heroes of the old universe.
That's why they got the same name, and their background stories are similar too.
I think it's sweet.

As I recall, he started off as a normal Human Knight, but was leading a secret necromantic cult. Eventually, he was revealed and killed, but then returned as a Death Knight. In the basic game, he was a Knight, but in the Armageddon's Blade expansion features the Fire Witch campaign in which she faces off against the undead version.

Lord Haart in H3 and Lord Haart in H6 don't have a connection. Like Crag Hack, Tazar (fuuuuc- ubi) and Nicolai.

As well as Crack Hack from MaM 2and7 has nothing to do with C-H from Heroes I, II, III and VI. But they still are the same archeotypes. Copy pasting characters to different world is a common thing in the MaM games.

He's a Necropolis Might hero like before. And according to his description, he's alive.

There is a large number of These "Legacy heroes" In heroes VI.
They can be devided into two groups
3DO era heroes: These have similar bioms, looks and characters but are different from the old games. They suppose to be Tribute to the old games as a part of the 25 B-Day thing (such heroes are: Tazar, Kilindra, Gem, Moander, Lord Haart, Nymus, Atlas, Lord Kirbul Celia, ...)
Ubi era heroes: These are the same characters as i prewies Ubi games. They partly also work as tribute heroes in the 25 B-day thing, but also help to give depth to the characters of the new Ubi world (Examples: Xana, Kasper, Ludmila, Lhorish, Veyer)
