Quote: There are no limits to your success but your own fears.
seriously, where do you live? or what do you call success? because it usually depends a lot on other people as well. or maybe you are so fearless that you will crush mercilessly whoever gets in your way?
Quote: However, as time went by and I kept studying, I noticed that it's really hard to "know" anything when you don't really care for your course. I picture that it would be extremely difficult of me to prevail because of the sheer amount of knowledge I would have to gain before I could actually be able to procrastinate.
wow, that sounds very exciting

Crushing others is not fearlessness. In fact many of the most brutal events in history were committed with fear being the primary motivating factor. But fearlessness is obtainable not in denying that others can impact what your outcomes will be, but moving beyond that recognition to the point where you have no qualms taking culpability with regard to consequences. That is where true freedom comes from.
When we see ourselves and our own talents and capacities without it being tarnished or blemished by our own fears and faultfinding, simply with clarity, we begin to move beyond our current limitations and can really start to see the world as it is.
Yes other people in our lives can hinder, interfere with, or even ruin what we are attempting to do. But success has never had anything to do with politics, or cliques. That is an extension of fear, fear of lost control or inability to handle change. Those who do not shun change but accept it, and move through it, become not only stronger, but wiser.
We can always find ways that we can't or won't succeed. But why bother with that? Why not simply focus on what you need to do for success, and just DO IT?
Doing anything else IS just procrastination. But I cannot say I know people who have procrastinated either parts of or even their whole lives and have been happy for it...

Quote: I'm still in that black pit of "what the hell should I do next?".
Who aren't? The future is unknown and scary. Have you ever had an assignment you spend days on, if not weeks, but when you had finished it, you wonder how you couldn't have finished it in 30 minutes? That's how it usually is. Life is hard, but it's not impossible. Once you adapt, you get better at adapting. To many, I think it's a question of courage. Heck I find I need a lot of courage to just get out of bed in the morning, the angst of what awaits me almost overwhelms me, and the tiredness after the mental stress of every day makes me almost faint of exhaustation once I get back from school. Yet I manage. I manage, despite failing at something, several times, every single day, stuff which is simple for most people.
So don't you have any ongoing projects? That's what a thesis, bachelor, masters or phd basicly is, isn't it? An interesting project, or at least it's supposed to be, I think. But there's a ton of stuff that interests you, otherwise you could never procastinate in the first place. Aren't you working on any of those things by the side? Or thinking about working on any of those things?

I kinda feel like writing a little update.
even though I feel more and more desperate and clueless, I think I'd pick unemployment over staying at Warsaw Tech right now... @_@
Let's just say that the deeper I get to know that environment, the more I hate every molecule of it.
Academic teachers, or at least those here - are like the jesters of 21st century.
