Hot Seat Maps
My wife and i enjoy playing hotseat games vs the computer. However, it seems that there are only about 8 - 10 maps to choose from. I know i can download new maps from the internet, but im curious, is that all the maps that came with the game? I would think there would be more, or at least be able to unlock new ones. I have finished the 1st campaign ( undead ) but nothing unlocked. I also didnt see any maps available in the alter of wishes. Am i missing somethinbg?
Any tips or helpful info on this would be greatly appreciated.

No I think that is the way it is.
Online is the way to go to find the best Hotseat maps.
I am not a 100% sure that I understand your question, but as I also love to play Hotseat VS the computer I thought I would share some of my favorite maps:

Riverland, extra large map by Sarvi. This is one of my favorites!
City of Gold, large map also by Sarvi. I love this map.
Eden lake, large map by Nadiar. A good map.
CloverleafWar, medium map by Rdeford, Mage of souim. Ok map.
Crepusculo, large map by Wooley and Darczol. It's a sort of strange map, but there will be a lot of fun battles.

I am always looking for new maps to play, so if there are any suggestions on Hotseat maps I would love to know.
Heroes 5 TOTE is one of the best games I know. I have Heroes 6 as well, but dont play it any more as that game simply is not well balanced enough. The magic is gone....

the official HeroesVI maps are not made for hotseat : they are almost all copies from the campaign maps, so their design is not adapted to hotseat game.
And there are only few fan made maps for HeroesVI (thanks to Ubisoft and its marvelous map editor). They can all be found on the site Maps4Heroes.
As I also play often hotseat games, we played several maps from Maps4Heroes. And among these, the more interesting ones are :
- MagicienTemeraire(Reckless Magician) from MJ-farwwest
- Katz und Maus from Leandra
And two new maps look promising :
- Divided country from Leandra and Senthor
- Orbis from Azrail

I didnt realise that you were talking about Heroes 6.
I just assumed that this was regarding Heroes 5.
