The code is from ranged death stare, bers pack/wog mod. I never tested that script, maybe you should disable it and see if crashes continue.

A list of scripted mods in use would be helpful, also.

For multiplayer I don't think any mod will be safe. Except interface/graphical mods. WoG is not stable for multiplayer.

Hmm, that's a pity. Nevertheless we will try And I remember a script that gives function to artifacts on map - they will be guarded when picked... by fnord? And I liked the function from passable terrain that resource piles etc were also guarded by nearby unit. So I transformed it into but it doesn't work :/ Looks likes something is blocking that mod or what? It worked previously when I did it like that. And I put that mod on the top of load order in mod manager.

anyone know how to get rid of the "Video_short.wog" without the game crashing? i want to have a custom opening screen, and i can't when i have a preset animated wog logo in the opening screen that i can't delete.

when i try to download this mod it always stops at 39Mb all the times,
does anyone has an idea where to get ERA2 without this issue?
(and am i the only one not being able to download?)

EDIT: i found a way around the problem so if anyone else has this issue (downloads stopping at 39 or 40Mb) :
By going to the site http://wakeofgods.org/mods/ through the webarchives (the latest as 24/03/2015) you can actually download the whole.

If all links stop, maybe your antivirus is guilty, I see no other reason. Or your HD is full

That was not the issue, as i told the archiveWeb version had worked. (did you tried to download it? seems that they might have been corrupted or who knows).
Now it is working with the 03/24 version (should be the same if i checked right)
Anyway are there a way to merge HD mod with ERE 2? (the HD textures i guess won't work but a windowed mod could be nice)

Sure I download it, the site wakeofgods.org is mine and all fine. Era/HD are 90% compatible then if you know how to dig in HD settings -play with values-, they are 99% compatible.

it is strange then that they did not worked for me.
On the subject of HD, how do you make them together? if i tried to launch the ERA 2 exe with HD it prompts errors when i try to launch a game with it.

Use Morn Battlefields mod. Or turn off the option "new battlefields", has problems on win 7+.

7 SP1 x64, Q9650, 8GiB DDR2

I've now got problem with ERA which I didn't had a before. Almost every time I click on OK button in dialog game crashes with following header:

Las time I've played in July I didn't have such issues. Even when I load save form July game crashes when I try to start a batttle.
I thought that for some reason game is broken however, when I copied game folder to virtual machine (7 SP1 x64 and 8.1 x64) game run without crahses. Since July, I've only changed graphics card but I doubt it is real reason of crash.

Have anyone experienced this before?

Hello,
first I would like to thank all the authors of ERA, it is great, some nice features added to non scripting user since WoG3.58f.
I have just two problems. First are very frequent crashes, WoG almost never crashes, ERA few times in an hour. I have w7SP1x64, 8GB RAM, i7-4910MG CPU, NVIDIA K1100M. Is there anything I can post about these crashes ?
Second problem are commander skills. Although I have selected Attack, Hitpoints, Damage with Magic Power and got Death Stare ( sometimes even twice ) it gets changed to other commander special
skill. I thing it may be also caused by the fact I see Defence skill highlighted, although I did not select it. Could the problem be on my side or is it a bug ?

Has anyone ever redone haste and slow to be area effect instead of the somewhat overpowered "entire army" effect at master level?

I wanted to mod the slow and haste spells to increase in area effect with spell mastery.

Here's an example:

No magic level: 1 stack +1 speed
Basic: 1 stack +3 speed
Advanced: Fireball Sized area +3 speed
Expert: Inferno Sized area +3 speed

Has this ever been done? Or do I need to learn to mod to make this?

Hello guys.
As some of you know I play HotA exclusively, but recently I became more curious towards WoG/Era, thanks to Salamandre and BloodSucker.
I still have some concerns though.
Is there any of the features in WoG/Era i'm forced to use? For example I don't like commanders, stack experience or town destruction is this something that is forced upon me or only options?
Also HotA did great with tweaking the balance of the game, like nerfing necromancy and growth of phoenixes. Also Conflux became more expensive while Tower became cheaper and so on.
I assume WoG/Era haven't done any rebalancing between factions?
I really like some of the features in WoG/Era like 9 & 10 skills, ranged units can go to melee, market of time and improvement of the most useless skills, so I need to know if I should convert to WoG instead...
(P.S. I know nothing of coding or scripting, so I can't really change anything myself)

I tested every mod from your list, except WoG plus and knightmare commanders. In fact, I received more than one complaint about wog plus. So I suggest you try for a few hours without wog plus or KC and see how it goes.

Then I see in your list a very potentially dangerous "mod",  passable terrain". We removed it from wog revised because its crashes. I don't know where you got it from, it is not distributed anymore with wog revised.
