A bit info
vlladdimir,I had the same problem with Era 2.0(if not the same message, pretty close).
What I did?I reinstalled Era with choosing to run the installation exe as administrator and my problem was no more.
Maybe you should try to install it with and without administrator rights and see what happen.
I still havent installed 2.1 and I hope it will be again some rights problem.(easily solvable)

I am feeling rather stupid right now...
how do you turn on/off a mod you have gotten?
I have many mods, and all are sitting as subfolders of the mods folder, how to I turn them on each?

i have a script i use that i got from a polish h3wog site, it enables me to have upto 256 artifacts on one hero divided into 4 pages, but in the latest versions of era(2 and 2.1) it started to cause bugs, removed artifacts and stats didnt decrease etc. if its possible, can any of you take a look and see what needs to be fixed? the script is as the original one in polish, just translated it into english so its easier for my friends to read when its used in lan matches:bag of holding script 96

Look if you don't have mods manager in ERA/Tools. If not, download HERE.
Open it then disable/enable the mods you want.

thisUnkn0wn, just run Tools\Mods Manager\Mods Manager.exe and press Enable/Disable for selected mod.
Emiren, I've downloaded the script, will try to find out the reason of problem and fix. It would be nice if you uploaded the save game and described the actions to reproduce the issue.

If anyone tried any mod on Windows 7 x64?
EraII doesn't work.
Pheonix mod doesn't work.
VCMI mod doesn't work.
Clean Heroes Complete/SoD work fine.
Old version of VCMI and Era worked fine on Windows 7 x32.
I'll try the old 3.58f WoG but I think that it will not work too.

I am not an expert in Windows 7 issues, but I have a little experience to share while you are waiting for an expert.
The first question is whether you have the W7 Service Pack updates installed. I had numerous problems with the factory-installed version of W7, which were gradually fixed as updates were released and installed (I lost count of the individual updates at about 200).
I have run WoG 3.58f on a W7/64-bit Gateway laptop without problems. I was lazy and ran from a flash drive in a USB port instead of copying the folder from the flash drive to the hard drive. That might have avoided some file-system problem. The autosaves were slower (due to flash drive speed vs. hard drive speed), but everything else seemed normal.
I would also try running in Safe Mode, since that fixed many of the early W7 problems. (This will eliminate the use of a sound card.)
The Microsoft forums are full (several thousand) of early complaints that old games would crash, but I think the updates have fixed most of those.

Interesting, ERA makes rapid progress. How comes we don't have tons of mods for that platform yet?

Quote: Interesting, ERA makes rapid progress. How comes we don't have tons of mods for that platform yet?
There are many obvious reasons:
1) Lack of native language tutorials with screenshots.
2) Lack of auditory.
3) As a result, lack of mod makers.
4) ERM complexity and incompatibility.
5) H3 engine limitations (txt tables, defs)
6) Conservative part of players and mod makers

7) Some of us were waiting for the official, non-beta release of Era 2, which has only been available for about a month or so.
8) A large mod takes man-months if not man-years to develop and test. I define a mod as the addition of new DEF's and/or sounds, and a large mod as one that involves 20 or more new DEF's and associated scripts. Era 2 is mainly a development platform for large mods. (It makes large mods easier to develop and to distribute.)
9) Existing 3.58f mods can be run under Era 2 with a bit of re-packaging, which can be done by individual users. If more numbers are wanted dozens of such mods could be assembled, but they would not be as high-quality as the current set.

10) Nostalgia for WoG 3.58.
Is floating in the air. However, WoG 3.58, while becoming the backbone of modding those past years, was not supposed to last so many years, and if it lasted, is not because its stability or functionality, but mainly because human issues. The first team was preparing 3.59, then Slava left and things went in stand by, then WoG core team proclaimed the arid lands and teased us for a long time.
Moreover, ERA is based integrally on WoG 3.58, nothing was removed (except a few very buggy scripts), and the additions worth the trial.
Even the TL trigger is back.
ERA is still very young, so the question on why there are not tons of mods is strange, the answer being obvious. Months ago, I could not even dream about having in my Heroes folder Atlantis, TEW, TDS, Phoenix and be able to play each within a simple click, then switch to a boring random maps but have all graphics unchanged. Then come the DL (ok, from TE), which rebirth the game and will help us to get rid of that zvslib1.dll memory unsolvable issues. And so far, I found nothing from 3.58 to not be compatible with ERA. There is only the cranim.txt issue which was revealed by HoL failure, but Bersy added it on todo list.

@this
I'm sorry to say but you have some incompatible scripts. It seems some unique IDs were used twice or more (probably localization issues).
Try to run without language pack, and check if it works. If yes - your language pack seems incompatible with your new shiny mods - If not - it's more a problem with some mods disliking each other.
Since the error line is as low as 55 I suppose you tried to mix ERA mods with WoG mods, more precise having first wogify script twice under different names. Please notice that since ERA2 Beta script filenames changed, and mods to work have to undergo same name changes - or some scripts would be loaded twice which is not good. The same work have to be done with ERA 1.x mods, or early 2beta ones. If you don't feel sure for fighting for compability check if somebody already ported your favorite mod to ERA2, or upload/link a mod and gently suggest you would want a version which works out of the box.

Actually the only thing I changed in the cranim.txt was to add shooting parameters for the creatures that weren't normally shooters in Heroes. The shooting script would not work properly if the creature didn't have the shooting frames and shooting angles fixed. Hope this helps.

Hero_Of_Light, I answered you in the HoL topic about cranim problem.
thisUnkn0wn, I think that Jim Vogan's advice is still actual: install the SoD (not WoG!), then Era II run with administrative rights. That's crucial.
