Hotseat slow AI turn
Hello there!
Sorry for the new topic, but I fed up with the H5 (Collectors Ed., with all patch) hotseat's AI turn speed.
We play big maps with 8 players and the AI turn is 7-8 minutes. It's simple ridiculous; in the beginning of a map.
Win7, 4GB RAM, Dell i3.
Any idea to make it faster?

Since you're playing hotseat, the best option for you would be to use
Quantomas' Advanced AI mod where the AI is faster AND better & you have the option of removing or reducing the game's inbuilt AI town building/creature growth cheats at higher difficulty levels...link is here {currently version 3.1j but work is proceeding on improving AI related to combat}
Else I bet you are using an RMG map which for some strange reason takes extra extra long for me...you can try using a standard map that came with the game or maybe a custom fan-made map & see if that helps.
You can play big RMG maps against many computer opponents with Quantomas' Advanced AI mod without those delay frustrations!

Thank you, I will try it.
I use the RTMG mod, does it work with it? I renamed the .exe (to H5_Game) for the RTMG, let's try.
I don't really understand the readme. On huge maps, which Lookahead Depth option will speed the AI turns up? The easy or the heroic?

I have no idea whether RTMG works with it because I never tried it myself, probably not...but normal RMG maps have to be made using the normal game exe or normal map editor, after which the map can be started under AdvAI exe.
heroic lookahead just means AI will take into account things further ahead in the game, making it a little bit smarter & it hardly makes it slower because not much difference in time really...anyway, just try it, experiment & see

yeah, but we play hotseat multiplayer...we have to use the RTMG for the option of team coop.

well if you have to use RTMG, you can try disabling instant travel.
also see here for a discussion started by someone who initially ignored/did not read my suggestions of either not playing rmg or disabling instant travel in another stickied thread.
