If you were hired to write the story of HoMM 5...
What would you do? I'd connect it with the old universe and bring Lysander, Gauldoth, Emilia, Waerjak or Tawni B back and forget WW and GS happened.
Terribly sorry for the typo, I'm still tired after a party.

I would write the current story of H5, probably.
But I'd give the main characters all Slavic names.

Well, to start out I would nix Isabel and Nicoli. It would just be Isabel alone, and she would have more depth than a puddle on a cloudy day (actually show concern for her people, listen to Godric's advice, etc). Next, I would probably have to do something about that terrible inferno story line, and then the list just keeps going on...
Mostly, I would make it more believable and less of the chinsey romance-rpg-adventure they tried to make the game into.

In H5 and H6, ubi tried to bring some old heroes from H1-4 such as Nicolai, Sandro, Crag Hack.... But only their name, not their biographies and stories. I don't like that. If I rewrote the story of H5, I would continue the story of MM9's end.
I also don't like strange Ashan. Goodbye, Axeoth.

I would make Gauldoth the main star being framed with the demons losing respect for him and having to fight against Emilia only with his undeads, with Elwin being in the middle of a civil war but with his love Shaera by his side.
meanwhile Waerjak faces a new threat, the Pirate Queen Tawni Balfour who raids every town on their coasts, whilst sea monsters and mermaids are getting more and more restless... only to show that [spoiler] the mighty Krakken has awoken [/spoiler]
Only Lysander knew the truth about Gauldoth but he's got some problems of his own... the Neo-Kreegans are plotting an invansion upon Palaedra.

I would involve sex with dragons and other mythical creatures in a misguided attempt to appeal to the youth.
