Demo? Cheats!
I've just seen this page http://www.heroesofmightandmagic.com/heroes3/democheat.shtml
about the Cheats in Demo version of Homm3 and it seemed very interesting, but than at the end it said "I did same proccess with the full version of H3 (Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete), but it didn't work. I found only a icon in resource area of file." , but I thought to give it a try!
...and after a few trail errors I've managed to make those cheats work (separate cheats for Map Screen and separate cheats for Battle Screen) in Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete!
I was fascinated by lots of those cheats e.g. Being able to enter the enemy's Town just by double clicking on it and seeing how is he progressing with its buildings. One of my favorites is being able to use unlimited spells in battle without waiting for next hero turn.
Not only that, but it can be very fun, too (flooding the battlefield with Elemental Monsters). It's also great for testing numerous things!
There are also 'cheats' for seeing hidden objects (mines) during castle siege and adding or removing obstacles on the battleground...
and many more...
...I think it's better for all of you who never used it to try it out regardless do you like playing with cheats or not, it can be great fun!
I've uploaded already modified .EXE here ----> http://www.mediafire.com/?89jxe3y0bvpkk1o
No need to replace anything just place it in your Heroes3 folder and run the game from my executable...
...In order for Cheat menu to appear you will have to be in Windowed Mode, you can switch to windowed mode by pressing F4, but the game only runs in windowed mode if your desktop colours are set to 16bit
To do that in Win7 Right Click on Desktop > Personalize > click Display lower left > click Change Display Settings upper left > Advanced Settings > Monitor > and switch to High Color(16bit)
It was only tested for HoM&M3 Complete
Many thanks to Marcio Hermes for finding out this first
P.S. I hope there isn't already a post about this working in Homm3 Complete

Is this the same menu one can access by typing " /nwcgrail" in the Target box of a shortcut to the game's executable? They sound eerily similar

The end of the Target line should be something like this:
\3DO\Heroes 3 Complete\HEROES3.EXE"
All You have to do is add /nwcgrail (SPACE forward slash nwcgrail),
so the altered shortcut's target line should look like this:
\3DO\Heroes 3 Complete\HEROES3.EXE" /nwcgrail
Then, just start a game, switch to desktop mode, and You'll see a menu labeled "Cheat" just before the menus "File" "Display and "Help", where You can add any creature/skill/artifact on the adventure map, build any building in the town view, etc.
It works for any version, and can be unlocked just like H2's Debug menu, detailed here, just substitute H2 with H3 and NWC with nwcgrail where necessary.
Another brief tutorial is here. Expand the list, and follow the instructions to get the cheat menu.

Dunno, but plain NWC might work for H1, and H4 has a ridiculously
large number of cheats anyway. (try nwcaphrodite during a hero's turn on the combat screen, it's hilarious )

Why would one want to forget them anyway? It's great fun if playing solo, and very nostalgic.
