Hey there everyone, just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm new to the forums but I'm definitely not new to the HoMM series. I've been playing since HoMM II, and I can easily attest to logging in 2,000 ~ 3,000 hours between HoMM II ~> IV. Oddly enough however, is that I have barely played any of the campaigns I've had a blast playing mainly the single scenarios as well as some custom/random games too. When I play through games I generally take my time and don't bother rushing through it. Call me crazy, but I've sometimes spent days just playing a single map trying to experience absolutely everything it has to offer, both in gameplay as well as script/stories.

Although I haven't mentioned all of my ties to the series so far, I'll leave it at that for now. This is where I come in to the forums: I've taken it upon myself to actually play through the campaigns of the series as well as finish playing the scenarios I never completed for certain games. That's my long term goal. I doubt it will happen any time soon, but that's not the point. I've always been impressed with the HoMM series' ability to portray a sense of story and atmosphere, almost in lieu of D&D (even though I was never a D&D fan) with its seemingly endless scenario customizability. It's the reason the series will always have a special place for me.

So that's my introduction in a nutshell I don't know how active I'll be on here due to time restraints, but I've got some upcoming questions regarding HoMM 5 which I plan to soon post. Thanks for your time in reading this and happy gaming!

Nicknick
