Can you explain what happened here?
I decided to test Zandragar's Stratagem and played as Kaspar as the Necromancers. What puzzled me is at the end of week 2 (Edit: Not 4) player 1 showed up with a level 16 Yrbeth, 30 squires, 5 Archmages, 30 Stalkers, 3 Nightmares, and 7 Blood Furies. I was level 4 with 200 Skeleton archers, 30 Zombies, and 9 vampires. She didn't even need the creatures though as she had empowered lightning which killed all of my archers in 2 shots and the rest she killed with her Archmage's fireball spell.
My only guess is she used the refugee camp next to her town to get the squires, mages, and nightmares then relied on her empowered spells to shred all the creature stacks she could on the way to rock me... but level 16?? Seems a little crazy to me...
What are your thoughts on this? She did have a pretty nice setup and even with the low morale her creatures got to move every turn.

Level 16 sounds about right for week 4, unless the particular map you played is VERY low in resources and creeps.

If the map allows you can hit lvl 16+ on week 2 but that involves hardcore creeping The squires were probably joiners though, it is unlikely that she got so many from a mercenary camp.

well if you play a RMG map for biggest possible neutral monsters & minimum resources/treasures & Quantomas's neutral champions set to hardest & heroic level: level 4 at week 3 may not look that bad
Anyway I hate necro...but I'm sure Elvin's necro guide is da bomb.

Ya, it seems I was slacking too, along with the AI getting a few lucky stacks of creatures I got myself smashed. Seems I went too long without playing this game as I used to play on hard difficulty...
EDIT: So I went back to the game yesterday and it was actually at the end of week 2, so I wasn't slacking off THAT bad. It also reminds me of how my brother almost beat the dungeon campaign in vanilla heroes by only using empowered spells.

Can you explain what happened here?
I'm currently playing Heroes V with latest patch 1.6 (Retail Deluxe Edition, no cracks, no mods). In the third mission of
the Inferno Campaign (where Agrael must capture towns and defeat Gilraen) I was level 18 with Attributes 13/6/6/7 and
defeated the guards of the Sylvan Military Outpost, thus reaching level 19 and getting +1 Spellpower, improving my primary
stats to 13/6/7/7. I was also offered Basic Enlightenment, so I took this skill and was surprised to see my stats improved
to 18/6/9/8, which means a whopping +8 to my primary stats. As Basic Enlightenment is supposed to add +1 for every four
levels, I should have received +4 or +5, but certainly not +8. I'm not using any artifacts and there's also no special
week (Week of Worry).
Seeing this, I went back to the first campaign (Haven), as I also took Enlightenment there for Isabel and Godric.
I loaded some old saves and took a closer look at what happened there to my primary stats, when taking Basic Enlightenment,
with the exact same results for both, for example Godric received 100k XP's when defeating the garrison in the east, just
before the end of the mission, and jumped from level 18 to level 24, adding +6 to his primary stats. Going from level 18 to
level 19, I took Basic Enlightenment, which added another +10(!) at level 24, although it's supposed to give +6 only.
Can someone explain? Am I missing something here?

Quote: Bug? Never encountered it but then I was playing 3.1 by the time 1.6 came out.
Did you check the calculations in 3.1 at some point?
The results make a little more sense, when "level" in "Hero receives +1 to one of his primary stats for every four levels" does not refer to the hero level (as I always assumed), but to the sum of your primary stat levels, but even then they are not accurate.
Surprisingly the fan-made manual has so much to offer when it comes to detailed formulae regarding Initiative, Combat Damage and the effects of Diplomacy, but nothing about Enlightenment's finer details ...
