Logistics hero or combat hero?

Hello!

Hope you are having a great day!

I have a question that I have been wondering, it's been lingering in my mind for a while now.

What do you think is better?

A logistics hero, like Kyree or Gunnar, that can move faster out of combat.

Or a combat hero, like Crag Hack or Tazar, that specializes in combat.

I personally think a combat hero will have the advantage in the end, but I'm not sure, maybe on a smaller map the logistics hero will have an advantage, again, not sure, anyway, I'm interested in hearing what you guys think.

Cheers!

The same! Let's hope yes.. Think about seven days, and too much of the army. More dangerous is a fast mover and the magic of a master.

Logistic is of course a must have skill on your main hero.

He who is born with logistics has the advantage of being able to use it from start to end.
The logistic specialists advantage goes even further, making him incredibly fast in the end.
He can do more fights and therefor gain a higher level, clear the area faster, get more troops and items...

But on the battlefield, logistic is a useless skill. It simply does nothing. It would even be better to have luck or leadership...

CragHack and Tazar rule here.

Their disadvantage is that logistic may not show up at all, or only very late...

---

Let's look at the heroes:

Gunnar - overlord - log special - log&tactics
Kyrre - ranger - log special - log&archery
Dessa - Battlemage - log special - log&wisdom
Tazar - Beastmaster - armorer special - adv armorer
Neela - alchemist (urgs!) - armorer special - armorer&scholar (urgs!)
Mephala - Ranger - armorer special - armorer&leadership
Crag Hack - Barbarian - offense special - adv offense
Gundula - Battlemage - offense special - offense&wisdom

Great heroes:
*Gunnar as an overlord with tactics
*Tazar as a beastmaster
*Crag hack of course

Semi-ok:
*Kyrre, archery is often a kinda wasted skill
*Gundula&Dessa, not might heroes, but orcs still...
*Mephala, leadership is not the best, ranger too...
*Neela, main problem is scholar and alchemist with bad stats and often offered snowty secondary skills...

There is a lot of barbarians, beastmasters and overlords I would rather choose as a main hero even though they have no special in log, armorer or offense...

Interesting peter, so what you also say is that even though a logistic hero is not as powerful, they are able to obtain artifacts and powerups around the map to make up for it, I think this is a very good point indeed.

A combat hero without logistics can nonetheless cover a lot of ground with Expert Air & Dimension Door, Expert Earth & Town Portal, plus the two logistics artifacts equipped.

Can a logistics hero achieve a comparable boost to his combat skills by a combination of magic and artifacts?

If he has Angelic Alliance and the combat hero doesn't have anything, yes...

But I don't get the problem...
You can take a combat hero like Mr.Hack or a Logistic Hero like Gunnar, and they can have the same skills, spells and artifacts...
The only difference: Hack hits harder, Gunnar walks faster.
What you prefer is your choice alone...

I'd always pick Logistic hero, if not banned ofcourse.
Reason: you can play 2 turns for cost of only one turn, especially on larger maps.
