Rampart and Kyree
I like the rampart but the thing is they have two slow units: battle dwarf (5 speed) and dendroid soldier (4 speed!!!), in my opinion this doesn't go well with Kyree the logistics hero, so I am not sure what to do with these units, sticking them in garrison seems a huge waste, especially late game when the enemy hero is very powerful so they can easily kill them anyway, plus they both have a growth building.
So what do I do with these units, bringing them really slows down the hero, and running backwards and forwards passing them to different heroes is a hassle.
Thanks

Use the artifacts to increase their speed. They can take a beating so they should be the ones who are in the front lines.

Don't carry a crap with your main hero, get some Angels, Titans or at least Hydras instead Even weak stack reliably hitting enemy will be better than large stack doing nothing.
Advantage of speed can give you win before you need to "take beating".

I agree with Warmonger, and I always follow his advice, except sometimes at the very beginning of a scenario, when dwarves serve as cannon fodder. The difference between easy victory and difficult victory, or a loss, is often determined by how fast your army can move across the map. Leave your fat, lazy dwarves at home, where they can guzzle ale and sing with Snow White.

I often find that you can do a lot of fights without the slowest troops, but occasionally there may be a fight where they tip the balance between losing and winning, or between winning with minor losses and with major losses. In those cases, I will bring the slower troops along on a separate hero who's really there just to shuttle them around, rather than on my main - obviously this only works when you can initiate the major battle and not when someone else picks on you.

It's usually not a big deal doing the early fights without dendroids and dwarves. Cents and elves, later accompanied by pegasi and unicorns, do the job as well. Even if you bring dwarves and dendroids, they often do not even reach the wandering stacks before the faster troops cleared the battleground...
So you let the stacks grow and grow in your castle, and when there's a lot of them, you buy them and take them to the endfight, where they are nice guards for the elves and provide some meat to suck up retaliations.
Or don't buy them at all and take units from other castles...
