@Forfy:
I had sand in my vagina at the time for reasons that were completely unrelated to HC and ended up taking a silly jab with a high degree of nerdrage, but yes, distorting threads is something that I think can be very harmful and gets under my skin. I suppose in a sense I had it coming to me, since I've done it myself in the past, and I'm not exactly an exemplar of good conduct. There was an incident with TheDeath a long time ago where I intentionally quoted something out of context in my signature of him saying that he thinks Hitler was a great man. He got angry about it and I just laughed my ass off over how hilarious I thought it was, and proceeded to go further by talking about how I'm going to shove a screwdriver in my eye, blah blah blah. I think it was 2 days or so before I conceded to change my sig. It's kind of a long story and I don't remember it perfectly accurately myself. I just remember that it was a lot of fun and I'm 60% sure that TheDeath eventually forgave me.
The reason I think distorting threads is a problem is because anybody coming to that thread later to read it would have no clue what took place. It's pretty much a laugh for one or two people and then it's just confusing for everybody else and the thread is broken apart. Insults by themselves can only tarnish your image based on how you react to them, but framing somebody to look like an idiot is different. You don't have much control over it. Being misrepresented kind of makes me feel violated... in an electronic sort of way. Regardless of what the mods' opinions are about it, I would appreciate it if you didn't do it with me.
