Games similar to Heroes of Might & Magic Series
Greetings fellow heroes, been a while since I last dropped by, in fact its been so long I had to remake an account lol!
I’ve been working on and off on a Heroes of Might & Magic section on my website over the last year containing information, pictures, videos and tips for the games. I’ve also been looking to expand it to list games similar to, copied from, or influenced by HoMM. Plus I quite like collecting and playing any games similar to HoMM so I’m interested to know if there’s any out there that I don’t already know about! I’m also including any browser based HoMM clones too.
Would greatly appreciate any assistance you guys can give!
These are the ones I know of:
Very Similar
Kings Bounty: The Legend
Disciples Series
Heroes of Gaia
Heroes Land
Sort of Similar
Age of Wonders Series
Hammer of the Gods
Lords of Magic - Special Edition
Etherlords Series
Eador - Masters of the Broken World
Also Thinking About..
Master of Magic
Warlords Series
Celtic Tales - Balor of the Evil Eye
Elemental War of Magic
Heroes of Annihilated Empires
Gemfire
Also does anyone know any good sites for HoMM midis? I've found a few here and there to use on my site but want more!

Like most people here, by "Heroes of Might and Magic" you probably mean "Heroes of Might and Magic III". Try Heroes of Might and Magic II.

Thanks, however Hammer was already on the list I found that little gem around 6 years ago and was lucky enough to grab (via ebay) an orginal game cd, manual and laminated unit card which I have treasured since. Great little game.

Had some good game suggestions I'd never seen/played before from another forum.
The Etherlords Series made by Nival before Heroes 5 and a game called 'Heroes of Annihilated Empires' which while being an RTS game it uses the global map, cities and hero with armies style gameplay of HoMM.
Have put them in the list above to include on my website and will have to try them out sometime!
Update:
Also a little old KOEI game called 'Gemfire' that sort of resembles Kings Bountry.
A game called 'Heroes Land' posted here that appears to be a Russian rip of Heroes 3 in a broswer which looks awesome!
And now a up and comming game called 'Eador - Masters of the Broken World' that looks a cross between HoMM Civ and MoM!

Would any of these qualify as a sortof simalar game:
-Sins of a Solar Empire
-Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes
-Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor
If you liked Gemfire you should try out
"Romance of the three kingdoms" its made by the same company (koei).
I used to play that on Super nintendo, but its available for PC aswell.

Haha I was surprised to see Gemfire here as that was one of my early SNES TBS games and I really enjoyed it. Sadly I lost my SNES and physical copy of the game during a move years ago but have an emulated version of it now thats still good.
Also was going to say if you like GemFire then you may like Lord of Darkness Nobunaga's Ambition. That was another game that started my love for TBS long before HOMM2&3.

Emperor of the Fading Suns
has been a very interesting title - that got another patch this year, even though it's from 1996. Active community.

Well, mentioning Lords of Magic - Special Edition, you can also include Lords of The Realm 2 by the same developer. The game is in medieval setting, and the fights are real-timed as well as in LOMSE, but some similarity does exist for sure.
