Ziggurat project
Ayo!
Today I am here to present project of new HoMM3 town named Ziggurat.
It is going to be faction of Dwarves possessed by forces of evil Lammasu. Their story beginns hundreds of years after the Reckoning, when weakened race of Dwarves starts uniting with these mystic and unknown creatures. During ages, Lammasu change all systems of Dwarves (political, etc.), slowly take control of them and name themself Kings.
Enough of plot, there will be campaign for sure o.o"
Units setup: (we didn't discuss english names yet, so these are my loose translations)
1. Soulless
2. Cursed Golems
3. Priests
4. Hunters
5. Guardsmen
6. Spearmen Platforms
7. Lammasu

Some early units' models made by Witchking (Guardsman, Platform and Priest):
And... It's not the end, here is screenshot from town screen still under construction (i mean -> i just hex coordinates, graphic is NOT final, it awaits 2D work in photoshop or something, lol) and second graphic is pure 3D scene of full-built town, but it's only a scene so don't pay attention to light and shadows, because as U can see in first screen, I still try to improve it
BTW. Ziggurat will replace Rampart

There was an english version once, but I stoped translating everything long time ago, because my website's construction was making it very time-absorbing. Moreover, I was causing bugs by mistakes more and more frequently =P
I think I must ask my friend, who built this website for me to upgrade it a little bit... Then we'll see =)

Lammasu/Lamasu? You mean like, the fugly H6 Lamasu?
(they weren't that bad, honestly, though)
This is looking fairly pretty so far (way prettier unit-wise than Modern Forge, honestly)

Am I the only one who can't load your website (anymore)? :/
Assuming that there WILL be a Polish version as well? (ever since you said that English names are only rough translations at the moment...)
Also, it would be cool if (un)upgraded Lam(m)asu was named Shedu. (even if Shedu is just male Lamasu, and Lamasu is male Shedu, if that makes any sense at all to you)

My site is down, because of some weird problems, with hosting probably. I couldn't update it like for 3 months so i started to believe it's not temporary. Clicked to reset site last week, looks like it trigerred just yesterday XD
Site will be reopened elsewhere, again in 2 languages I hope =)
BTW. Ziggurat is now being developed on VCMI platform. Working
concurrently with Cove =D

While we're (sort of) at it, what are the Polish names of creatures/dwellings/buildings? (should there be any)
It feels kinda awkward to ask that, though.

Cursed golems and spearmen platforms have been deleted along the way, replaced by berserks and giants.
Soulless (Bezduszny) -> Hollow (Pusty)
Maddwarf (Furiat) -> Hunter (£owca)
Asipu -> Mirza
N4
Triceratops Rider (Je¼dziec Triceratopsa) -> Guard (Gwrdzista)
Giant (Olbrzym) -> Craa'ghor
Shedu -> Lammasu
N4 still under construction, but will be probably named by something like [Bies -> Chort].
Arts posted by Hobbit present creatures lvl 2 and 3.
Buildings and dwellings soon.

Hello there
I would prefer talking about things that we do have, instead of things we don't. Unfortunately creatures can be counted as the second ones. Before You close the page let me explain why is so. Team working on this awesome project counts at the moment 3 active members.
First one is Artarion, he came up with the concept of Ziggurat. He is responsible for plot, campaign, creature setup and their stats.
Second is Hiro. He is currently working on brand-new website, so we can keep You posted.
Last one is me ofc. I am graphician-technician-magician - team complement. I do everything, that others are not able to. Which is a lot as You can see.
First of all I want to finish town screen. It is in a lot better shape, than it was last time I wrote here, but all the time I find things, that I can improve, upgrade, add some details. You prefer 'a kick-ass town screen', than 'just a town screen', right? Well, I am doing my best and I think it's kinda finished now. It's taking me a lot of time to convert building animations into defs.
Enough. It's time for some infos (screen below).
One of the Ziggurat's special buildings is this little funny ridiculous pickaxe-digger (that is not it's real name lol) visible in the screen. It provides an extra income to town everyday. How much is still a discussion topic. Propositions would be appreciated
A lot of building positions has been changed, as You can also see. Due to new capitol's image (it's the building with the bloody pyramid at the top) I had to switch marketplace and tavern positions. I also had to reposition mage guild. It will probably get one extra tower for a reason of distance.
Furthermore, Lammasu's dwelling has been reworked. It is not a palace on a cloud anymore. It's been reworked into this building with azure ray shooting into heaven. But i noticed, that azure-sky effect must be deleted due to deftool color conversion. It doesn't display as it should. But overall building animation (which i have no how to present) will stay intact.
What else can I say? Changes in background are visible clearly. Wall around big hole has been added. Hole texture has been replaced. All other buildings are not yet stuffed into defs or waiting for animation. I am also ready to answer any further questions, requests, propositions.
BTW. How do You like it? =)
