In life I believe in redemption.
In ToH I don't.
You cheat...you get caught..get lost.
There are other leagues that don't care.
This league needs a good cleaning and I know HC is in the process of doing so.
It is not saying people cant change.
It's just saying not being in ToH never killed anyone.
Put some fear in them.
1 Strike...you're out.

Well I don't think cheating in heroes 3 is a big deal anymore. and please not a STRESS ON ANYMORE! in season 1-4 yes i woulda murdered the guys etc... but well heroes 4 is coming out soon, so i haven't played heroes in a couple months. i've got to clear my brain from old strats and tactics. this is a new game with NEW FEATURES! which grants new chance for me to be one of the top players 
But as for map editing, those people should burn at the stake. IMO ofcourse. But don't you have to fake disconnect and then edit then remake and load?

Yes it will end.
With global warming metling the ice caps at an alarming rate and the entire world being close to nuclear holocaust due to the events in the middle east I say this cheating cannot go on much longer.
Soon it will cease to exist.

so..
would these big business type guys who "cheat" they're way to success cheat in heroes aswell....... or is it the other way around those that have morals in reality (very poor) cheat in heroes? or maybe its morality in heroes = cheating is a way of life for reality
I dunno just ranting on about some comments.

Cheating/business
Just wanted to add in my two cents on the business/cheating issue as a first post from a relatively new toh member. It is a common misconception, driven by movies, television, etc., that people who succeed in business/the real world do so by cheating, backstabbing and climbing. Sure, organizations exist where such behavior is advantageous, but such organizations are usually in some stage of implosion. For every person who succeeds by bad actions, there are 50 who succeed by hard work and intelligence. It's just so much more fun to talk/read/laugh about the jackasses than the honest success stories. Andrew Carnegie was called a robber baron and his personal eccentricities held up to public scorn, but in hundreds of towns across the U.S. there are public libraries that would not exist but for his hard work. The same story has been writ large in this country a million times. (Sorry for the borderline jingoism lol)

Andrew Carnegie wrote his books and made his millions in a different time.
Large corporations make their living greasing the palms of hungry politicians so they can get laws passed to further their domination.
I'd love to be so innocent minded as to believe that this is not true but I am not an ostrich and can not bury my head in the sand w/o suffocating.
Take the case where Disney bought a trailer park in Orlando and evicted all the members so they could build something else to make their money.
Those people did not even get 30 days to move thanks to the power of disney they had to move within 7 days.
What about the 60 yr old kindergarten teacher who got taken to court by VIacom for the rights to rugrats.com. A sight she had maintained for 4 yrs prior to the creation of the cartoon.
But who won the case?
Viacom did and she got NADA for her trouble.
What about BMW who will not even acknowledge that they used Jewish slaves to make their vehicles in WW2?
Some of these people are still alive and are not being acknowledged.
WHat about Nike's sweat shops?
I could go on forever.
Truth is Andrew Carnegie is rolling over in his grave and Gordon Gekko is the new king of the world.

As does every other faction in the country, trade unions, special interest groups, etc. I agree with you entirely, but the problem you refer to is one of government out of control and not business.

They would have to move regardless of the buyer of the property. One of the reasons people choose to live in a trailer park is that the tenancy is periodic, week to week (in most states and most trailer parks). They are not bound by a lease, nor are they protected by one. Those people were no more "members" than you are a "member" of a hotel when you stay in one. Why should they have rights that you and I don't have?

I agree that the application of the intellectual property laws can be harsh. You can either have rule of law, however, in which the law applies equally to all (and which can certainly become a tool of large interests, corporate or otherwise), or you can have mob rule, in which the caprice of the public and expediency determine how a law applies. I believe the former system is more just in the long run. 100 years ago, in this country, she would have just been told by the sheriff that she was being shut down. Today, she at least got a day in court.

National Socialism was an anticapitalist, anti rule of law movement, not a corporate one. History is a thick book of atrocities. I believe that it is getting better, and the chances for this sort of thing happening decreases every year under the status quo. It is the sort of thinking that does the "right thing" by the trailer park residents and the school teacher, regardless of the law, that can become perverted into the atrocities like the holocaust.

Perhaps the countries where those sweatshops exist should become more capitalist and more democratic, i.e. more like us. There is no legal child labor in the U.S. (unless you count McDonalds

Back to the topic...
Recently, I played a random large map under suspicious
circumstances. My opponent had 260-280 pikemen on day 9 when we first fought, with unrecruited pikes still in tavern (I surrendered for about 2500 after being whittled down to nothing...I had been lucky to draw Solmyr and had a weakly guarded implo scroll in my area that I picked up week one). He had the diplo cleric, Adela, so I guess this is not too far-fetched.
In addition, he had tons of gold throughout the short game, and was able to hire an endless stream of heroes and his entire garrison, despite the fact that I had been killing off scouts left and right. Again, probably honest.
Also, the guys main was able to move a truly outrageous amount over rough terrain, without logistics or p-finding (but had boots and stable). Again, probably kosher.
Finally, after conceding the game, I checked the saves before reporting and found a weird icon, "first aid" in one of his main's slots. It was not the usual first aid icon, and did not look like a buggy perversion of the real icon. When you right click on it, the game crashes. Four months ago, I was playing a well known toh'er and noticed a similar weird icon in a slot called "scouting" with the image of logistics. In that game the player got extreme movement at a crucial time in the game. Some have said that these are bugs, but I wonder how a bug could produce its own icon.
If you have experienced this, please let me know. My inclination is to send the map in to the HC before reporting, but I really hate to trouble them. If folks here have a rational explanation, I would probably just go ahead and report a loss. Thanks.

icons
I too had one of these ichons pop up in a game,but on my
hero.i thought it was wierd,it was kind of yellow and it
looked like a wisdom ichon,except i already had wisdom
lol.when i clicked on the ichon,game crashed.it popped up i
asume because there was an error in saving the game,it
wasnt there before the save,and when we resumed it was.my
opponent and i agreed that if the slot taken would affect
the game we would call it a draw,but it was early on and
the game lasted only 2 more weeks,so the slot wasnt needed.
if anyone else has info on this it would be appreciated.

i was playing this one guy (forgot his name), he's not in toh.
map was fast and furious (like crimson clover).
on week 4 he breaks through to the middle and has:
- 54 basilisks
- 35 m.gorgons
- 29 wyverns
- and some lizards
on week 1 I built efreet with castle, and i have:
- 14 efreet
- 69 horned demons (demonology) ... low for a 3-week record
- 21 pit-lords
- 5 devils
and i wonder ... how the hell did he get ALL those creatures! I bet he's using some type of cheat ... unless he has statue of legion.
I almost win this battle, but have to retreat with half these troops, leaving him with:
- 30 m.gorgons
- 17 wyverns
a few days later, on day 6, he gets reinforcements...
and comes back with:
- 22 greater basilisks
- 36 m.gorgons
- 29 wyvern monarchs
he defeats me with no contest ... so I leave, check the save:
- he has no diplomacy
- no pieces of legion at all
conclusion: somehow he cheated.

so did you report him to HC wiggy?
i had similar situation some weeks ago. not remember it clearly but suddenly a new level appeared on 1 of my slots on main hero. it showed the diplomacy icon, but under it, it said basic first aid lol ..
anyway i won game short after so never speculated much more than it probably was a bug in game.

I have seen this bug a thousand times.
I just learned not to click it.
All the things in Bestandens game sound above the board.
On randoms diplomacy can be crazy.
I recall a game vs Greystole where I fought him wk2 w/300 lizard warriors.
I was so glad that he was an experienced player as I am sure many people would have suspected foul play.
On worlds at war template dip will rock the house.

I've been using the map editor a lot with some of my maps. Trying out new features and stuff.
Well this to me looks like a map editor. You can use events that can only be opened by player one. My thought is he/she was using these to give more recruitable creatures and more money too. This person could have made it so the the level 4 creatures were compliant basilisks and so on...
You should open up the map with someone you know very well playing as your opponent and then have them check for these events.
The person could have added the events that are in giant war at the beginning of the week. That excess of creatures probably came from either of those ways.
