Astonishing Images
See a topic: how does Necromancy work in H3? I guess many don't know that computer heroes' necromancy skill can only generate 1 skeleton in a battle at most
Simply for fun: I've exploited a H3 invisible BUG, which makes all single-effect spells become total-effect

Will not work, it needs a target or will crash.

but after all WoG isn't H3, you can rarely see such things in pure H3 SoD

Akh you got it!
because there is an invisible stack of troops, which Chain Lightning cannot damage, so it stops

I was asking about the single target spells becoming mass spells... and going through immunity/HP restrictions

You must have noticed that in Magic Plain, the Undead's single Curse spell can affect "The (null)". What's it on earth? Actually, in Heroes of Might and Magic III, the spell being cast will be given a data, describing whom its target is, which directly relates to the below description of battlefield action. For example, "Adela casts 'Bless' on the Champions." is quite different from "Adela casts 'Bless'.". And most importantly, when this data is "The (null)", the spells will be cast on any friendly/hostile stacks that can receive it. It is how spells become totally-effective: when you've attained Expert Water Magic skill, you no longer need to choose one as target to cast Prayer and it will be given a null data automatically. I guess you've already got some ideas about Invisibility. Pitifully, we humans can only normally cast single spells on half-invisible troops, but never can we cast single spells on total-invisible troops. However, for the AI's, they're just the same. When the AI's attempts to cast a single spell on an invisible stack, it will be given a null data, and that's it. So now in hero's spells only these seven can successfully reach all while among monsters only Unicorns can make it.
About Immunity, simply orb of vulnerability
about HP, I guess you're talking about Hypnotize, when Astral reach level 6424, he can do it, how to do that? give him enough experience
when experience points reach 2100000000, which is about 2^31, heroes will be thousand levels, such as 868, 3732, 5920, 6424

OK, so from what I understand, the AI has to cast a spell on an invisible troop, caused by the Sacrifice Phoenix bug? Every time I try to get that to happen, the game crashes...

of course the game will crash
because the AI cast wrong spell
such as, blind is OK, hypnotize is OK, anti-magic, frenzy, magic mirror, slayer, fire shield, are all OK
but any damage spell is wrong, because you cannot imagine mass Implosion, right? Nor disrupting ray, because its animation is like ranged attack so cannot be mass too
try to give AI only blind and you'll succeed, then you can try others
