Grog was tired from the swamp walk and was really hoping to get some rest, but with the Dragonflies attacking it was impossible to do so.
One of the serpents was flying right towards him. Grog tried to capture it alive and because of that, he had to be very careful not to kill it or get hurt.
The Dragonfly headed for the arm, but Grog dodged the bite and countered with a slap on the head. The slap was hard, but the Dragonfly was just pushed to the side. Grog used his swords's flat side to hit the creature and knock it to the ground, but he missed. The Dragonfly was now really mad and it was going into a frenzy which made things really hard.
After a few minutes of "tag", Grog managed to grab the Dragonfly by the head and pin it to a tree.
"Anyone have some sort of rope?", he asked his companions.

Swamp Group:
Bowie/Grog notices a length of vine growing around a nearby tree that might serve as rope, if he could get to it. Unfortunately it's just out of reach without releasing his captive Dragonfly.
Tristan finds the Dragonfly whose wing he clipped is a passable swimmer when the creature spits fire at his legs, distracting him at a critical moment.
----------------
Bar Group:
A table hits the wall with a crack like gunshot and snaps in half. The bar brawl doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon—until a half-dozen men in gleaming armor and pristine uniforms show up at the front door, trailed by the innkeeper. ((Those of you who were on the boat and saw the yacht will recognize the uniforms as being the same.)) They are also armed, but lay about them with the flat of their blades rather than the edges to separate unruly combatants and push people up against the walls, shouting to cease, desist, halt in the name of Lord Markham!

The two dwarves were mesmerized when they realized that they lost their target. First came confusion, then came anger. The two dwarves resorted to squabbling over who's fault it was.
"You lost the rat you giant fool, always knew you were dim as a bat's ass"
"Shuddup up! We would've had 'im if it weren't for yer clumsy two-bit swings"
"Why you little, misbegotten son of a snow!"
Fandral managed to get himself front-row seats to two dwarves pummeling each other into the ground, that is, till some fancy armoured namby-pambies wrecked the whole spectacle. Fandral made himself scarce lest the half-wits take him for a trouble maker, but not too far, for he was still keeping an eye out for the little thieves. (all three of them)

Mat's staff work seemed to have gotten all of the use that it would against these little buggers. Luckily, there was still something to do since one of them had decided to bite down and get stuck on Tristan's shield... The blunt end of Cauthon's staff swung out towards the creature busy biting down on his shield, though Mat misjudged how far he would have to swing since him only having one eye sort of threw off his depth perception. Oh yes, his attack still hit and a small crunch as some fragile bones were powderized still happened, but he over-extended himself painfully, stretching his arm and exposing basically every single part of his body...

"Rhino's," Koto thought inside his head when he saw the guards that brought order to the brawl "or more correctly, this "Emerald Island's" equivalent of the Klanaka Rhinos." Koto added when he realized that none of the guards had horns on their heads. "I wonder who this "Lord Markham" is." Koto thought, not being familiar with the word "lord" "Sounds like he is the one in charge of this place, just like captain Heinzel was in charge of Klanaka." Koto started wondering whether or not this place had been under the control of the Empress of Light, and if it had been, whether or not these giants knew that she was dead.
"Monto!" Koto shouted, suddenly remembering the reason he had headed for the bar fight in the first place. Looking around in all directions, Koto did not see anyone or anything that reminded him of friend. Koto wanted to start running around asking people if they had seen his friend, but a small voice in the back of his head reminded him about the danger of strange villages and cities. "Gather information first, you know nothing about this island of giants that your in." Koto thought.
Looking around himself he saw almost nothing but giants, and Koto realized he would have to talk to one or more of them to gain the information he sought. "Not the guards, remember the experience with the Rhinos! Not the drunkards, their information might be more fantasy than anything, though they are less likely to remember a nosey thief. Not one of the fighters taken by the guards, they might be ruthless criminals like the rats." Koto smiled as he finally realized who he would approach, the giant who had been pushed down by the other giant Koto had saved, he seemed like the friendly sort.
Approaching the giant carefully, Koto coughed politely and poked the giant man in the side to gain his attention. "Excuse me, Mr. Giant, would you mind answering a few questions about this country of yours called "Emerald Island"? I'll pay you for the trouble!"

Tristan was distracted by the fire-breathing creature. He was so distracted, in fact, that he didn’t notice Mat striking at the creature on his shield. He attempted to back out of the way of the fire as the staff struck the shield. He fell once more into the swamp water, nearly hitting his head upon the base of a tree. He was glad to have not been hit by another shot of fire, but he was now looking forward to a nice bath. He tried to find the creature, but it had returned to swimming. He saw a glimmer of it, but lost it soon after. He pushed himself from the ground, to a stooping position.

Mat gave out a cry of pain, the thing had just bloody bit him! And it had injured his arm while it was at it! "Bloody flaming ashes!" The ranger called out, sending a kick at the slithering bugger as he dropped his stave from his injured hand and drew a dagger. Funny thing was, he could still feel that bit of fang in his bone...

Rincewind glanced at the armored people. They looked like the Town Watch. Although that wasn't entirely true. They were much more impressive in their shining armor and uniforms. In fact, the more accurate description would be that they looked nothing like the Town Watch. But they probably had the same function. Which, as Rincewind knew very well, was to round up everyone who can't put up a fight and let the others carry on with their evening. Usually in these situation Rincewind would run away, but this wasn't Ankh-Morpork and he didn't know the village well enough to run and hide. So instead he just made his way into the back row, trying to hide himself behind the other customers.

Grog looked at the Dragonfly.
"Oh, my little friend, what am I going to do with you?"
Grog thinked for a minute and thought of something.
He put the sword on the ground and grabed the serpent with both of his hands. He grabbed the Dragonfly frirmly and started bashing it's head on a tree.
The Dragonfly was knocked out in a matter of seconds.
With that done, getting the vine was no problem.

Rincewind soon finds himself squished up against a wall along with several other people. He can smell alcohol, grease, and body odor from several of the ex-brawlers (although one lanky fellow with a missing tooth is perfectly sober and grinning widely) and the sheath of someone's dagger is pushing uncomfortably into his thigh.

"You mean that friend of yours who pushed you earlier? Yeah, he mingled with the crowd there a little while ago." Koto said and pointed towards the crowd the man had run too. "I'll find him for you!" Koto ran into the crowd, looking around himself trying to figure out where the other giant was. After a minute or two of searching, Koto finally caught glimpse of the giant standing in the backrow of the crowd, appearing a bit nervous as it was. Koto made his way to the giant and poked him in the rear "Excuse me, Mr. Giant. Your friend that you pushed earlier is looking for you." Koto said.

Another of the dragonflies was coming Mat and Tristan's way. Tristan wasn't sure which one it was going for, but after Mat's cry of pain, he seemed to gain the creature's attention. Tristan took advantage, raising his mace, and sending it down upon the crown of the creature's head. He heard a snap as the thing fell into the water. He then returned to watching both air and water.

Rincewind jumped a little when he felt a poke from behind. He looked down and saw the little fellow who robbed the dwarves earlier.
"Mr. Giant? What are you... oh, nevermind. My 'friend' can look for me until the end of time for all I care." He hissed, "No be quiet before you draw some unwanted attention towards us. Which is any attention."

"Why, are you in some kind of trouble?" Koto whispered to the giant. "I guess are, seeing as you were chased by those three angry men. Owing someone money are we? Well, if you want help to evade them come with me, I am a master at sneaking away." Koto smiled and pointed towards a shadowy alley that he had seen the other end of "We can sneak through there and go around the building to your friend, avoiding the angry bailiffs chasing you."

Rincewind looked suspiciously at the little creature. What was he, anyway? He couldn't have been a dwarf, yet he was way to big for gnome. Whatever the case was, his idea was sound. Rincewind always liked ideas that involved getting away from things. Or people. Or places. Or anything else that could present any danger.
"Fine. Lead the way and I'll follow you. But don't try anything weird."

"Fine. Lead the way and I'll follow you. But don't try anything weird."
Koto waved with his hand for the giant to follow him into the shadows. When he entered the shadows, Koto felt strange. Or actually, the strange thing was that Koto felt nothing at all. He could not feel the shadows cover him like a cloak, and he did not feel his eyes light up to peir through the darkness. "It is just like with the shadow whip I tried to make earlier..." Koto though as he lead the giant through the darkness. The alley took a swing to the left, and just as Koto had remembered, he saw the light of the alleys exit. "Just through here and we will be able to see your friend." Koto said to the giant.
((Unless KI has any great objections to it, I will say that we made it out okay and got to the other side))
Coming out on the other side, Koto felt strange as he left the shadows. He did not feel like someone had removed their hands from his body, nor the longing to run back into the shadow and stay in their safety. "I wonder why they do not work anymore..." Koto sighed loudly and pointed at the other giant "There is your friend!" Koto started walking towards the other giant. "Hey, Mr. Giant. I found your friend." Koto said when he got close enough to know no one else but the three of them would hear him.

Broïndur noticed the swimming Dragonfly. Quickly putting his axe through the loop on his belt, he crouched, ready to grab the snakething out of the water.
When he was younger, and back home, Broïndur and his mates used to fish for Mountain Trout in the meltwater-streams barehanded. And while this water was a lot less clear, the Dragonflies were a lot slower if more feisty.
But Broïndur's body swap had not made his aim less true and he grabbed the Dragonfly out of the water. Quickly following up with his other hand, his shield dangling from his wrist and forearm, and broke the neck. Broïndur tossed the growing limp body onto the heap.
That was all the Dragonflies accounted for, save the one Grog had tied to a vine. Broïndur went over that and, seeing as the beast could not escape, grabbed it out of the air with ease. Just like the last one this one's neck was broken.
"We're gettin' paid for these dead, lad. You're not keepin' one as a pet. If ye be wantin' one, buy a dog with your share of the money." Broïndur said to Grog. Next he turned to adress the others together.
"I'll gut these as I did the last an' tie 'em to the sheaf. Ye go on ahead, I'll catch up again. And try an' find the queen, if ye ken, we be needin' te head back te town soon fer the speech."

"Keeping him as a pet?! Now, why would I do that, except for, maybe, fire spitting?
You'll gut him when I'm done gloating."
((Few seconds later))
"Nevermind that one, I'll find a bigger serpent!", Grog said while taking another vine.
