Beer
I read in the stickied threads in here about QP's,lists of threads and many different stories/discussions.
I know the Tavern should be a place for drinking beer(or other kind of stuff),but even if I find a thread about beer,I find it closed or long forgotten-how come?
People here dont like beer or what?

Why should I go here to talk about beer, when I can go to my fridge and drink it?
No in all seriousness, what is there to say? Beer's a great drink. There's more kinds then you can shake a stick at, some of those taste better then others. And if there is one kind you don't like, try a few others and you'll likely find one you will like.
You can drink it in a glass, or striaght from the bottle or can.
But in the end, it's still beer. Don't stand here yapping about it, go and drink one.

Who likes to drink beer when posting/replying in HC?
I am aware responsible posting comes first and beer comes after it.

No. Beer comes first and responsible posting comes in its wake.

Actually, beer almost always ages better in cans and some good quality microbreweries are moving in that direction. Young's Chocolate Stout, one of the best stouts around, comes in cans and bottles and I far prefer the canned version. There's an unfair stigma against canned beer, unfortunately, and so most of us are forced to drink slightly oxidized, skunked beer out of a bottle, rather than fresher tasting versions out of a can.
EDIT: ML, please size your pictures appropriately before posting.

I think it's just that I hate the hint of tin you get from drinking out of a can. I'm the exact same way with soda. It's such a strong preference that I literally won't drink out of a can unless I'm parched as hell and I have no other options. I have to pour it into a glass before I can drink it. I don't know why it is but the can seems to enhance the sensation of the carbonation, which I'm sensitive to as it is. The only stuff I can drink out of a can are coffees or juices.
edit: OMG edit that picture of his please.

Modern cans are sprayed with protecting coating, making leeching of metal virtually impossible. Cans also tend to hold their seals better - keeping carbonation in and oxygen out.
Check it out.
Hell, I almost never drink plastic bottled soda, either, because the canned stuff is so much fizzier. Granted, glass does better than plastic - plastic is actually permeable to gasses - but still I've noticed that very old bottles of beer are a little flat and stale tasting because the seal isn't as good.
Then again, who leaves beer around long enough for that to happen?
In short, yeah I drink mostly bottled because consumer preference still forces the industry that way. But when given the choice to have the same beer in a can or bottle, I choose can every time. That said, they both pale in comparison to draught.

Then maybe it's just the fact that it seals too well for its own good (for me). Like I said I'm apparently more sensitive to carbonation than most people. When I drink something carbonated out of a can I honestly have trouble tasting it because there's a bombardment of explosions in my mouth that make my eyes water. It's downright unpleasant/mildly painful to me.

Speaking of carbonation, I've become a real fan of the nitro head. Seeing it in more beers lately, even some that aren't stouts.
I totally dig it.

I don't experiment much with beers and regret saying that I still haven't had a chocolate beer before. I really need to get off my ass and rectify that problem because my female intuition tells me that it will redefine my opinion on beer. I mean it's chocolate FFS.
