Quote: Of course - maybe Ubisoft doesn't want to make Heroes 7.
That would be the best news I've heard in a while.

Ubisoft is driven by greed, money is all that matters to them. Thus they are very predictable. They made a lot of money on Heroes 6, more than any other installment of the series. Of course they will make a sequel, at worst it's target audience will be causal gamers like H6. Furthermore they made the substantial investment of making townscreens, and contracting Limbic for 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7. There is no way in hell that Ubisoft did that out of the goodness of their hearts, they did that so people will buy the upcoming expansion pack.

I really doubt they will make enough money off the DLCs to justify all that patching. I am certain they have better investments they could make in other games if two DLC is all the sales they would get out of these three patches.

That is a silly thing to say. Changing the values may be easy but you still need testing and feedback if you are to do any decent balancing.

No. Fixing bugs and glitches is not that easy compared to balance tweaking - please take a look at the thread in the official UBI forums again!
Also, who is quantomas?

Author of the AI mod for HeroesV. Who offered his help to Ubisoft and was refused. Probably on the pattern that they do not want him to see in even more.

Too bad Ubisoft refused that help

Quote: That's weak but have you considered the fact that they may be busy with other things? Or that they may have nothing to do with an addon? Or that the patching process is typically done by the whole team instead of an intern? That is no serious indication of what is actually happening.
Do not get me wrong... I am happy they are doing anything on the game. And I am thrilled of the transparency for the fixes. It should have been like this all along regardless of their problems.
On the other hand, you have to wonder of the commitment to the game when your patch notes are comprised of stuff like :
• (fixed) Fix dynasty weapons: Arachne
Dynasty weapon Arachne ability "spider web" lasts for 0 turns.
Sadly this superficial fixes are not the stuff keeping me from playing the game I hoped/payed for. There are deeper problems with the game and those will most likely NEVER be addressed! Not with the current resource commitment by Ubisoft.

Yes.. Commitment to continue doesn't necessarily mean commitment for actual quality improvement. H5 had immense replayability because of all those possible skill combinations and innate randomness. Unless H6 improves the skill system, adds another rare resource to mix things up, adds more interactive non-booster locations or mage guilds, then it cannot hope to become a truly good game.
