Manual work is packing new def/msg/msk into h3sprite.lod, extracting zeobjts from Mods\WoG\hmm35wog.pak and using Tools\objector.exe to import new objects from other txt's, then packing it into h3bitmap.lod.

Those seem like simple and concise instructions, I shall try to follow them to conclusion. Thanks.
Just out of curiosity, why is such a compilation not already available to bypass this?
Edit - I did as you said, and ran the fix editor batch after, but I am still getting the same behavior.
Edit 2 - I got it. I had to put the new .txt in the wog archive, as the tool for fixing the editor loads the wog data after h3bitmap.lod.

Era is perfect for release maps, not for preparing them. If you gonna use in your map new objects and need to customize their masks, then you have to make your map as for 3.58, import all objects in h3sprite.lod because Grayface patch reads only from that location.
If you don't use advanced editor properties at all, then no problem.

I got 'er figured. Mostly. I do rather wish the objtxteditor had previews, would make modding the 'decorations' much easier. Oh well, I've got more than enough to start, and I have more than started.

Possibly a big utility combining all lods/pacs and txt's will be necessary in feature for mapmakers until we find other solution for GrayFace's patch.

Alternatively one could try this dll in Mods\WoG\EraEditor which tends to support mod system and passability editing.
