More creatures in stacks
I`m one of those who play a map for 1,2 or even 3 years(in game time) and I have these problems.Why creatures in stacks over the map don`t grow further than 4K ? Is there a MOD or something I could use to fix this?
Did someone think about creating a third level?Surface, Undergound and I don`t know, maybe Heaven?
I say somehere in this forum a hero with level 80+ , how did he get all that experience?

Check the Dragon Slaughter thread.One of the options at the begining of the game is the limit of 4k to be extended.

Check here about more levels.

Ok, I just read it.That map fixes all my problems, but it`s just for that map only.Something for the random map ?Keep in mind that I just read it, I did not play it.It`s not that I don`t like it, I don`t like the idea of a story of every race.Thanks for your fast response

@Dominaar,when you reply its good idea to not use he quote reply,but to use post reply button.
About the properties you see in one map-these properties are connected with Event Related Model language.With ERM(in short) you can have the properties you want for many other maps.
You may find reading ERM Help useful to understand how your heroes/creatures act in game and develop.
You may also want to check the thread Introduction to modding/scripting-where you can learn which tools you need to make the appearance of the map you want to play.
You can check Era and Era mods thread to see what you like.

In next VCMI version (development build coming in a day or two) you will be able to set max size of neutral stack with config file.

A mod can be done is a few minutes about this, but this is strange request, as playing more than 12 months vs AI leads in most of cases to frozen game. And within 12 months limit, no stack on random map will reach 4000.
Baratorch claims he eliminated frozen AI in his HD mod, but not sure what he is talking about, not enough info.

Nevertheless I want it, even if it`s strange.If you or somebodyelse can make it so easy why can`t you change the speed with which the stack grows?
I`ve read most many of your post and I must congratulate you on your fine work with wog Salamandre, I was hoping you could intervene in my post

@Dominaar,I didnt ask you what is the important info you want and what is the not so important info you decide to read.
I appologize for that!
In the signature of Warmonger(about the future of H3)is his VCMI site.
A blessing comes when someone gives you tasks,which require effort and when you prove you are serious,a hand of a master appears and helps you!
I think it will become easier pretty soon.

You missundertood me, I didn`t want to criticise you, and if I remember I thanked you after every post.That said, don`t be so defensive, I didn`t say anything bad about your work ( posts), I don`t know how much time it took you to understand all that knowledge, but for me is a lot for just one day.

I am sorry Dominaar, I was way too optimist about the script. What should have taken 10 minutes turned out into 2 hours of "guess why is not working". Looks like the game mechanics overwrite everything I try to allow growth past 4000.
Maybe others will be able to make such script.

Conclusion: PO gets right, but MO gets down to 3xx after 4000 limit.

Looks like there is a check if there are too much creatures somewhere. I'd not use TM89 and replace FU12001 with this:

!!if&y1=>4000:; if PO more than 4000
!!VRy1:*11:10; +10% growth
!!MO998:Gy1; Set new number
!!en:;
If that does not work, another solution would be to change numbers in BA trigger.

Yes I had this in mind, but then it requires post battles checks, because if player try to hit and run, will have no effect on casualties. Then it turns into a more complicated script, specially for random maps.

The TDS Enhanced Monsters script uses !?TM to calculate and save growths above 4000 in PO:V1. For numbers above 4000, MO:G is set to 4000 - indicating that Woodmelon or someone found that is the maximum MO:G will accept - and this is used in !?BF as a signal to use the number in PO:V1 to reset the stack counts.
The maximum which Woodmelon will allow for the total number of monsters is 24,000 - so probably he found there were problems above that limit.
It appears that he does not allow hit-and-run to reduce the monster counts once they have grown to 4000 or above. Below 4000, MO:G contains the monster count, so hit-and-run will work. At 4000 and above, the monster count comes from PO:V1.
Update: the monster count appears to be stored in three bytes (whoops, I mean one-and-a-half bytes-- all of one, and half of the next), so the maximum value which can be stored without an overflow is 4095, and Woodmelon's method or a variation of it is necessary. (UN:C will not help as there is no comparison to a limit which is below the storage capacity, as with Primary Skills.)
Note also that great minds (Woodmelon and Salamandre) tend to think alike - as in the use of PO to store the growth.

Thanks for explanation, I knew about his script but without comments is very hard to follow in that ERM complex edifice. In my script it looks like the timer is running too early, and right after it the game resets the stack, and gives weird results.

I don't know how to do this so you can have full satisfaction. For instance, with script as in TDS, if a stack is too strong you will never pass on a simple random map.
IMO quantities are not important, but stats are. If I want a battle hard, I boost AI stats, not excessively numbers. You can pick enhanced monsters script, it will offer more challenge.

Ok, that`s that, no problem, it can`t be done.So last night I donwloaded xxl map patch, I figured at least I could have a bigger map, I put the patch in the wog folder, I try do install it and at the end gives me this error " windows cannot find 'Tools\installmod.exe'.Make sure you typed the name corectly, and then try again." I understand the meaning of these words, but I don`t know what they are telling me to do ... any help please?
