Heroes of Might and Magic VII
I will introduce a new concept of Heroes of Might and Magic,in my wish for a Heroes 7.
Resources:
-Resources are divided in 2 groups:Common,Rare and Divine.
Common resources are:Wood,Iron,Cloth and Clay.Wood and Iron are found in external mines,while Tanner Workshop(Cloth) and Clay Pits(Clay) can be built inside towns.You will find Wood and Clay with more use for building and Iron and Cloth for recruiting.
Rare resources are all found in external mines and they include Gems,Crystals,Mercury and Sulphur.
Divine Resources are produced by Grail Buildings and can be used to recruit 8th level units.Each town has it's own divine resource.
Unit System:
-There are 8 troops,divided in 4 groups:Core(3 troops),Elite(2 troops),Champion(2 troops) and Grail(1 troop).Not all units upgrade.Some can be alternate-rectuited like in Heroes 4,while some other units can "alternate roles".Alternate Roles is when You "upgrade the unit in another unit with most stats identic,exept for different tactical function.
<-> means Alternate Roles.
x->y->z means further upgrade
x-> means alternative upgrade

Sorry for commenting so late!
First of All: I'm not such a friend of grail creatures. Your concept for them seems nice, but I do not feel too friendly, still.
The different upgrade styles seems interesting, and it's very nice that you give them to us so ordered written!!!
A note before as well. All comments are only buy judging the naems and waht I, personally, think they imply, of course! thinks I see illogical may be logical in the way you imagine the creas, of course.
Castle
What's a Billman? Also, I think it strange, that the spearman has so many upgrades.
Crossbowman vs longbowman is nice and logical, though I'd have both expected to be Bowman/Archer upgrades.
Having 3 different Melee-Fighters seems nice to me.
is Squire mounted?
What's a Principalite?
Tower
Is the Centaur Captain melee?
Iron as alternate to steel seems strange, looks more liek an upgrade to me...
Medusa or Minotaur seems to be a choice of VERY different units, unlike most of your other choices. Yet each faction has sth like this, doesnÄt they? (Liek griffin vs Ballista in Castle)
Love genies becoming either Efreets or Marids!
Battlements
VERY northern themed. Don't know all of the names.
But htose I know, I like quite much, as I understand them. And love Direwolfs in, GoT-fan that I am (And i Donät care if you did not get them from the series )
Ljosalfar are some kidn of "elves" aren't they?
And Jotun some giants?
Have absolutely NO idea about the grail thingy here O.o
Over all: looking for more, very nice ideas!

A guy wielding one of these presumably, or maybe one of these (I think that's a Bill-Guisarme that's pictured).

Also known as the Midgard Serpent or the World Serpent, basically the snake that's wrapped itself around the the world or something. Similar to the Leviathan, but bigger.
Certainly an interesting proposal, have to take a better look at it when I have a bit more time.
