I have updated the artifact list on page 26 with the two sets:
Great lich set:
+2 items: -2 initiative to enemy troops
+4 items: -4 morale to enemy troops
+6 items: +8 magic power
Boots of the walking dead: +1 hero land movement, +1 initiative to troops (minor - feet - great lich)
Necromancer chasuble: +1 magic defense, +20 mana (minor - chest - great lich)
Hourglass of order: -3 morale to all troops per round (major - neck - great lich)
Ring of the unrepentant: +5 magic power, grants teleport ability (relic - finger - great lich)
Libram of last rites: +5 magic defense, all enemy troops get 5% less healing (relic - off hand - great lich)
Cloak of the lich: +3 destiny, -3 morale to enemy troops (major - cloak - great lich)
Pirate set:
+2 items: +2 initiative to troops
+4 items: +4 leadership
+6 items: +8 might defense
Hook: +4 morale to troops whenever hero attacks, up to max of +12 morale (major - off hand - pirate)
Captain's hat: +2 destiny (minor - head - pirate)
Pirate armor: +6 might defense, grants resilience ability (relic - chest - pirate)
Pirate flag: -2 luck to enemy troops (minor - pocket - pirtate)
Skull ring: grants terror ability (relic - finger - pirate)
Sea elf charm: +3 leadership, +3 magic defense (major - neck - pirate)

Orc blood might (Double Deck) vs KaynaCrous (Demon blood might)
Well, Kayna took me down again and I thought this was going to be a breeze! Got rid of his pitlords easily but then hardly had any turns...Your attack was crazy...Not sure what you did Kayna but I noticed that your troops had initiative boosts alot (inner fire really boosted your troops alot but you had low magic power???) and it wasn't from haste and slow.....then your troops were going sometimes 3 times on their turn and wasn't cos of cleave......please can you enlighten me as to your strategy?

Hourglass of order was banned early on for obvious reasons. Inner fire gives +8 to init at basic and +5 at mass, regardless of spellpower. Apart from haste and cleave, all other bonuses come from ambush and artifacts. I know of no cases where a unit can act 3 times apart from cleave + morale or waiting after a cleave(serious bug exploit, I don't want to hear anyone doing it in the tourney) but you mention more than one times so that cannot be it.
The tourney shall begin on Friday.

You have done a great job DoubleDeck. Your list is easier to work with than the manual. I use it outside tournament so it is good that it is complete.
Sometimes it looks like a tripple attack if you attack the creature that will act next, and it hits your stack then. Especially with much morale and counterstrike skill involved.

Yes, this list needs to be copied on a new thread and stickied.
mass haste and mass inner fire was to make sure my army acts before yours, because otherwise once the first barbarian unit kicks in you can do your racial and act before me.
Triple attacks is a unit with good morale that kills a unit and triggers cleave.
If someone suicide a unit on you and you trigger cleave that way but your unit didnt act in the turn yet he will get the cleave extra attack.

Yes, something has to be done or the post will soon be invisible in this quickly growing thread.
Perhaps Elvin also could make a link to page 26 where he mentions the fan manual as your friend. (Nice update re: bugs&issues btw.)

Thanks for the info. It works fine if the enemy attack a unit you have waited with. Didn't know this, had only seen the case where the extra action doesn't transfer to next turn, i.e. the counterstriking unit had already used its action this turn.

It's amazing how much you learn about the game from these duel maps! I mean I finished the campaigns, dlc's, got nearly all the achievements....and still did not understand the creature abilities and spells/warcries all too well. It's through duelling that you really get to understand all facets of combat......same was for Heroes V, played it for 4 years and then tried the duel map and learnt 200% more knowledge on faction strategies, etc.
Imagine they make Heroes VII that is exclusively duel based (like Quake III arena) although would lose that element of turn-based strategy. Cheers! Enjoying this duel map!

Well duelling IS still a turn-based strategy xD
But yes I know what you mean, and I just as readily want to disagree with you. It honestly feels that heroes 6 already is more about duels than the campaign map, which you can tell by all the things that makes the game more confrontational such as town portals, territory, simplified levelling system and simplified resource structures, all of which help to force confrontations. Not saying it's a bad thing, but I would like the next heroes to be more about the campaign map, and done well at that, such as the difference between heroes 4 and heroes 5. Although perhaps I am alone in believing that heroes 4 was more about the campaign map and heroes 5 was more about the combat, since I have very little experience with heroes 5 multiplayer.

HoM&M was born as a very focused map exploration game, with the addition of battles. Reducing it to a duel/battle game would be quite stupid, imo.
One of the strongest points of Heroes is that offers a lot different options - you can play stories, simulate battles, duels, campaigns...
That's why I hate the direction HVI took - surely the adv map has the best landscapes of the series, but in a lot of screenshots it feels like a desert when it comes to interactive stuff
I really hope they improve that aspect in a supposed HVII....

Well, we could always just blame Elvin for running Heroes 5 duel tournaments and making the game developers think that's what people want in heroes games.

Don't doubt that - clearly it's Elvin fault, and she should pay for that
Duels can't be the only multiplayer option of a Heroes game - it ruins the fun quite quickly it there aren't other options. That's why I believe that a Heroes VII should come with Simultaneous Turns, while other stuff like RMG I don't consider "neccessary" for the vanilla game.

So has it been officially decided what will happen? Will we have tears runnig alongside blood, or will we have one after the other, and will we be able to take part in just 1 or both? Because if your only able to take part in 1 then I fear that the tears roster will be a very empty roster indeed....
