As of lately they give +1/2/3 at no reputation, +2/3/4 at blood 1 and +3/4/5 at blood 2. Same for defender.

So Assaillant and defender are a little "underpower" comparatively to others skills no?
I would like an assaillant and defender +2 like they did in patch 1.5 to make these skills more valuable.

You must be joking, at the third level it's a total of +12 That's pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned.

+12 if you take the 3 level (defender I,II,III)and if you manage to reach level 3 reputation yes it's good fore sure!
But i say that the skill at first level without cumulate DefernderII and III for example is pretty weak as regard as other "First skill" like regeneration, heal....
I compare just the skills for the first level up not more.
If i considerer the entire "path" Defender I, II and III (or assailant) i'm totally agree with you

Activated abilities are decidedly stronger than passive ones but I find tier 1 passives fairly pathetic. BH had a weird idea of skill design, one would think that tier 1 was supposed to help in earlygame. As if anyone would care about +2.5% to might damage or +3% chance for +50% dmg would for the first week. But then destiny's chosen I used to be even worse so I suppose I should be happy

Yes, the real problem for destiny's chosen is that is useless in early game and also in late game 3/5/8 for a total of 16% is definitely to small for a +50% damage as you mentioned it.
I'm surprised that you don't have mentioned too in your "Thread: Bug and Balance Issues Report"
This destiny's chosen should be 10/15/20! may be too strong but not sure however because the damage dealt are not incredible.
But i should post in the appropriated thread.
I think also economist I sould be like ressourcefulness in H5 beacause with 20% you find more gold but no more ressources.

Looks like the SW map from the golden edition has been enabled in the game. I can now see it in my scenarios and can buy the heroes and their portraits on the Altar

Economist I gives you more resources too. I think the map you play has piles of resources of value 1 or 2 and the game doesn`t give you more
I have a pile of fixed 5 wood and 5 ore next to corresponding mines and if u take Economist I you get 6 of each.

I don't know if this is a 1.8 issue or not, but that is what I am playing at the moment -- have not yet upgraded to 2.1.

For the past few days when I start up HOMM VI, the splash screens are half screen (lower half).  This is true for the first two splash screens as well as the intro screen (one that starts out with homm vi logo, and then turns to the "everything happened when my father died...".

Has this happened to anyone else?  Any clues as to how to fix it?

The final HOMM VI screen and the game play are fine.

Haven't played much but I got it once too at 2.1. Seeing as it only happened there I didn't find it a big deal.

This time, Ubisoft is not guilty (Yes, it's incredible, a new bug in Heroes VI and it's not Ubi-made).

The fault lies with Microsoft ; you can find the root cause (so-called security update) and how to fix it on the official Ubi-forum :
