Recently got heroes 6 and I am enjoying it I need some general advice
Ok I am playing Homm6 and I am really enjoying it but I am running into a problem during the campaign I gather resources etc I even use another hero to pick up the resources while my main kills all the monsters etc.
Then I encounter an enemy hero and he has more of a standing army and then I get trashed. So what should I do? Should I be more aggressive? Should I pick up only resources I need? Or I am doing something else wrong cause normally I rank up my town first and get the markeplace before anything else so I can get some income.

Question one?
Which map
I think you should not focuse so much on income but more on dwellings, you can get monney easylly later in the game, but the production u lose will nevere be there again.
try a more balanced version of Dwellings vs Income buildings

Yeah, you need those creatures in H6. The man with the larger army tends to win, period. Also, what kind of hero are you using and what skills do you usually take? That's important as well...

well I am running anton as magic and I am on the second map. I was haven so I went for spells like healing and earth armor. I will try and focus on balancing creating creature dwellings and upgrading the city I will see how that goes for me thanks for the advice.

This game has so many things to learn. Would be too long to explain it all! I suggest you do a few duels, get owned, and study what other people do to you.

How many creatures are you loosing per battle? Some spells are excellent creeping, and by playing tactically you should loose few to no troops on easy and medium battles, and be able to take on hard battles with not so many. Bleeding off excessive troops to creeps is killer. Make sure you have heal and or regeneration at least.

The game is built around healing and resurrecting your troops, to minimize your casualties. So essentially, there are two areas you should focus on:
1. Play "smart" so you lose as few troops as possible;
2. Use healing spells: Healing, Mass Healing, Regeneration and Mass Regeneration;
With respect to 1, it makes little sense for instance to engage an enemy stack in melee first and then use your archers to also hit that enemy stack, than to wait with your melee so your archers can hit it first. That way, even if the enemy stack remains standing, your melee troops get retaliated by less of the enemy (since the archers already took off some of the stack as well).
Also, in the Might tree is a skill called "Reinforcements" (I, II and III), which helps immensely with creeping. Cast it early in the fight on the stack that you expect will take the biggest beating, so you can soak up casualties that way - as it is, the extra creatures disappear at the end of battle anyway. So you lose nothing if they die instead, during the battle.
In the case of Anton, you're playing Haven. Haven can make use of the Guardian Angel ability, which makes a friendly stack immune to any damage for a single turn. Use this to soak up retaliation strikes, for instance.
And as Haven, your upgraded Sisters have two charges of a Healing spell, which is very useful. Getting them should be a priority.
Final piece of advice: since you're playing with Anton, it would seem you jumped right into the first campaign. In case you haven't already, I would recommend to play the tutorial campaign with Slava first.

You should play Anton as might, that way you can equip all the Guardian set artifacts (which some need might affinity) as you progress through the campaign....
