Seem heroes has a new competitor
Anyone saw this game. They explain a complex system but in the end you can see that the battle look similar to heroes as do the creatures (Hydra, cavalier, griffins, etc)
Eador: Masters of the Broken World
any impression ?

I rather like the artwork, it's pretty old-school.

Been following that game for quite some time now. The game is a mix of Age of Wonders and Disciples.
Tbh, except for the hex grid battles, it has little to do with HoMM. Eador is a mix between Age of Wonders (allmighty heroes walking the world and fighting to control the area) and Disciple (no stacks, each unit is unique and gains XP/levels on its own).

I simply love the artwork. It doesn't look overdone like HVI looks like, really impressive

Very nice!
I was very disappointed when after eagerly anticipating Disciples 3, it came out extremely buggy and to horrendous reviews. So much so that I never bother to get it after waiting so long for it's release.
Hopefully this releases in much better shape because I can never have enough turn based games.

Perhaps you should try the D3 Reincarnation which was released fall 2012 ? It is much better than the first release of the game in 2010. Me and my friend prefer playing this hotseat over HoMM6.

Very cool! I stopped following the news on this game because it looked so bad and didn't realize they made this latest version.
I may just have to check this out now. Thanks.

This is actually a sequel to Eador: Genesis, which is acclaimed as a hidden gem among turn based strategy games. The creator claims to have gathered inspiration from both HOMM and Civ. I haven't tried it yet, simply because I don't have the time now a' days. It will be interesting to see how Eador: Masters of the Broken World is received.
Edit: Looks like there already is a thread in the other games-section.

Unsurprisingly, there are two threads about AoW III at HC - first and second.
No need to scatter the discussion over a third thread I believe.

Sorry, but I only visit Heroes 3.5 and 6 boards, so I wouldn't know about topics regarding AoW III.
And, it may be the same case with some other forum users so it's nice to give more information sources for those who could otherwise miss it , no?

I thought this forum was exclusive focused on Might & Magic : Heroes VI, Dimension Gates on Might & Magic spinoffs and Other Games Exist Too on other games.
If someone wants to know about any other games, I don't expect them to search here...

I'm not discussing the game, I'm just informing others about it...
And that's that.
