Sorry if this was discussed earlier, but I did a search and I'm just not seeing any info on it.
I see in Uplay, there is an option to "buy" this dynasty weapon called "The Oblivion". I usually hesitate on spending any coins on this stuff if you end up getting them as you play through the game.
Does this weapon become available by playing through the campaigns or is it something you can only get by buying it?

Nope.. you can get it only fo U-Play points.
Since it looks like the exploit bug is fixed now

Seems to be for UPlay points only.
Not like you need them for anything else though, you can both earn and spend 75 per game. So no real need to save them for something else.
