Help for a brain dead person (me)
Ok..I have started to play Heroes VI again (finding it actually fun right now), but ran into a small problem. While I can buy dynasty traits (and have quite a few dynasty points saved up), I can't seem to find how to open up extra SLOTS to put the traits in when I start a game..what am I missing? Anybody want to help me out?

Well.. you can't. You can buy up to a 3rd slot, no idea why BH made it look like that.

Level up your dynasty. On Bronze and Silver ranks,(2nd & 3rd) you can buy the slots under the miscelaneous tab I think. (the one on the far right) ((Lemme go check that)) That should do the trick.

*facepalm* Ok I checked the misc tab (I checked all the tabs), but it was the ONE tab I didn't check all the various levels at (I looked on iron and didn't see it, so for some reason I didn't bother to check the other dynasty levels).
Now besides the creature production ones, and the racial gage ones..the silver, gold, and platinum skills seem..not so good.
Anyhow, if a mod wants to delete this thread, be my guest. (Well one that can in this section that is).

Don't exactly remember which level it is on, but the planeswalker one (which cuts the movementcost for teleport spells) is realy realy usefull. So don't go counting them out just yet.

No, the game was designed that way. Your opponent uses them too, as far as I can tell.

It is good that there is a switch to remove them then.
Creeping with the dynasty weapons is cheesy, no ?

A little, but it is one of the best ways to level them up also. With a big fight, you can save right before it..and keep reloading it to basically powerlevel your dynasty weapons.

This issue has already come up countless times, and I have mentioned the answer to multiple tines, and ubi addressed before the game was released

Level up your dynasty weapons free
Also you can, as mentioned before, disable them completely. Anyone who thinks dynasty weapons are broken, is in fact broken them self.

I'm still working on the various campaigns, and don't yet understand all of the dynasty stuff.
Are the various avator pictures just eye candy? Ditto for the titles.
Do the various weapons go with different races, or can anyone use any of them (respecting the might vs magic of course)?
Is there any way to change the dynasty traits once you have started a game or map? I suspect not, but would like to be sure.
Is there any way to get the fourth and fifth slot open?

Yes. Portraits are just ... portraits. Titles are just names.
Quote: Do the various weapons go with different races, or can anyone use any of them (respecting the might vs magic of course)?
No. Anyone can use anything, as long as they respect the might/magic aspect. Some weapons have an affinity with a race or let's say some non-affinity with some races (like a weapon with morale bonus has no effect on undead).

You can only change them at the start of each map.
Quote: Is there any way to get the fourth and fifth slot open?
No. Maybe they'll remember those slots exists in Shades of Purple ...

That's too bad. There are some traits that sound pretty good for starting the game, but are really worthless after that. Other traits keep on ticking throughout the game.
Is there a thread that discusses all of the traits and evaluates them?
And while we are talking about dynasty things -- what about that hero that you can buy? What happens if you do? And what kind of hero is he?

No, you can't.
You can change them only in scenarioes in campaigns but on singleplayer maps, you can't choose or change them anyhow.
Dynasty traits are working on normal maps but first you must manual choose them in Dynasty tab in Heroes section. Each hero must have chosen these traits (and pets if you have DLCs) and when you start new singleplayer map with these heroes, they have chosen Dynasty traits. If you don't choose any trait or you choose hero wothout traits, you will have none of them on map.

No there is not, you are free to use the general discussion topic
There are more then 80-100 heroes to buy. Do you want to know all of them?

Nope, my favorite bonuses are the movement ones (+3 land&sea, +6 land when starting turn from town). That way you can really get quicker around the map and not get harrassed by annoying AI! Bonuses that improve battles or stats I don't go for, seems more unfair....but movement, hell ya!

Except on a few maps with odd circumstances, the +creature growth ones just seem so much better than all other options.
