Simple ERM/WoG
I've recently downloaded WoG (ERAII) and it is very impressive.
But before I delve too deeply into ERM scripting I have a question, which essentially is:
Can I make an ERM map that's not all WoGged up?
I want (to make) a map that plays virtually the same as SoD (I have HOMM3 Complete), but with a few clever tricks and stuff on the map itself.
I don't want Commanders, or mithril, or creature stack experience, or new creatures, or modified skills, or any of that stuff... I also don't want the 'Wogify options' menu in the New Game screen but I guess that's probably unavoidable...
I just want to be able to a) modify terrain objects (move entrances etc) and b) modify certain object/map interactions...
So a map that looks and plays pretty much like a SoD map, but with a more complex story line than you can support with the standard editor...
Can I do that with the ERAII download, by disabling basically all the WoG stuff? If so, how?
Cheers

Every one of these are turned off with a single click. Just check Wog Options.

Quote: Sure, download SoD mod for Era and add your custom scripts into it.
Cheers, I'll check it out this evening
I guess my question could be summarised:
I want to use WoG/ERM to enhance a map without adding any additional complexity to the gameplay.
Is there a simple way to do that (preferably allowing simple distribution without having to manually disable everything on each client)?
Will see if Salamandre's reply answers that when I download it later!

The problem is that once you want to add new objects and new kind of interactions, then you will need to script them and already game play is more complex. Once you see it works, it is very hard to stop and finally map isn't anymore sod.
Anyway, a mod like SoD/Era shows how a script should be done to prohibit wog options and features, this is to take as example, you do whatever you want then. And expect a few months of work until you learn how to code, even simple objects, you will see what I mean when you open erm help.
