TEW IV, ver 4.3, updated december 2023

What is new, a lot. Every faction has now dependencies and advantages, hoping gameplay will be challenging  each time. MoS will finish first, as intended ; Master of Devils got polished and plays totally different than others - the big thing being that you can upgrade every inferno creature to Antichrists - for a price or course, as for MoW and MoE, little shapes here and there, they were already ok. Also the 7 difficulties were removed, there is only hard remaining + hardcore option, as I have no time and patience to test easier versions.

I think will work on Era lancher as well, as this map doesn't use original WoG scripts. However, check additional mods and disable if they alter gameplay, will probably screw the map.

Can you be more specific,what version of ERA are you using?I spent 2 hours trying to guess the right ERA version and mods...some required mods are outdated and Help file doesn't help much;it only said not to use SSS

All interface mods listed in the read me are HERE The mods are updated. You can use both cheats and interface mods, cheat mods are not exactly cheats, but offer infos that you can get also by save/reload, as how many cyclops in caves and such things, who guards some artifact and such

Quick daily save is also good to use. Make sure in Era 395 to activate plugins having Battle[...] in their name, they will allow fast reload battle (mod manager/wog  scripts/right click to show plugins list)

ERA 3.95
is also in that list, had to put pass otherwise Google deletes it. The pass is in the rar name, 321 then 123 (or vice-versa I don't remember). Should be installed as usual, over SoD or Complete edition. This ERA will work with all Wog maps.

When I sent map, I specified Era 3.95 (the latest I think) but for some reason, owner of maps4heroes didn't consider being necessary to recall.

The help file came with very first version and is mostly obsolete by now. All infos are in the readme.txt, and yes, SSS should be used by now

Clean install : H3 Complete + Era 3.95 + TEW IV (29.Dec.) + all your recommended mods.
In MOS, i can't get in time to the mithril bar near first inferno. I even followed your youtube video and did exactly what you did, but still i'm missing event by 2 tile difference.

For that mithril there is an exact pattern to follow, walk carefully, visit all movement bonus, refuse and kill the joiner, so you can visit twice the luck flag and I think that's all, there is no reason I can do it each time but doesn't work on yours.

And if there is really a bug on your system and hero is slower (on some alternate universe) each time, don't frustrate, use trainer (link in list of readme) and give yourself the 2 tiles missing.

Wait, no easy version? But noobies will have hard time with stat growth, for some people it takes 4 months to conquer first 5 towns

The "easier" version is now in the choice of faction. Master of Devils can convert every creature into Hell Barons, if some will not be able to win with that, then I don't know what will.

How are you supposed to use Scouting bonus from MoD (visit objects from afar)? I tried right click but it only shows object
Also, quick saving mod doesn't work, brakes ERM. Do you need latest ERA for that?

Seems like if you flag dwellings before conversion of a town, it will get bonus creatures from external dwellings, provided they correspond to the town conversed. In my case, I conversed 2 Castle towns after I flagged 4 angel dwellings and 1 cavalier dwelling, hence these towns got extra creatures, but my conversed Dungeon town didn't get that bonus. It did get bonus to imps from captured Troglodytes dwellings

Haha, that was an accident to be honest, didn't want not to take battles I could easily get, and that gives me 64 hell barons instead of 54 as of now, that is w/e, on top of hell baron lair it's impossible to lose battles even without that bonus

Damn I didn't expect the race for MoS to be so close. Took this challenge out of curiocity, and I just barely was able to get to Pasis, I finished right after his quest gate . Had to not flag any mine, not visit university or most other powerups, barely got any resource. And getting 50 upgrades was only possible after reloading long ago and not getting any mage guild upgrade (or order of fire), clearing Cave of Gods at the day of Pasis deadline for 30 extra resources, using market to distribute leftover resource, and still I had only ~10k gold left. At least was able to avoid at Pasis and still had 100k gold heh.
A fun mini challenge, very appreciated!

I'm having troubles with the Ajit battle. Even when I successfully cornered my Arch Devils by two stacks of Black Dragons, one of them kept running away, leaving my Arch Devils open. Also, my Arch Devils took much more damage than any of the walkthroughs I have seen.

Yes, attack all around is penalizing in some battles, give it away for that battle. Also look carefully at all  dragons stacks, there is one which doesn't retaliate, bring it in a corner.

Reduce defense ability is one of the best, don't leave it out. Also the mini quest for MoS in the beginning is very important and not hard to do, once you know the deadlines, just go straight for quests. It gives a lot of mithril, stats and more devils.

Use this formation, first move by attackig, then press defend a lot: cast shield, then stone skin, then prayer, resurrect maybe 3 times, then bless, protection from earth and start attacking and resurrecting. If AI get's your devils number to 80 it may be compelled to attack with everything, attack all around discourages dragons to attack, afraid of retaliation, but they won't be afraid if you ahve low devils. Bring black dragon as low as possible but never leave sweet spot, after black kill darkness dragon and this should be it.


About enemy damage, you're at month 3, compared to usual month 2 Ajit, so enemies have more attack, damage and defence.

It's hard to help for this battle since you already used your resources, no flexibility. I wouldn't go for 320 mythril town at that moment of the game and attack all around, getting less speed upgrades also would save some gold. Ignore enemy defence is much better than double damage (which is probably last to get since even poison helps more). I'd spend mythril on  defence upgrades and prayer/bless instead, very useful bonus for turtle tactics I prefer to use: don't attack and use defend until your defence, attack and dmg will prevail on enemy. It works well on some enemies, and at start no faction have what it takes to burst through every enemy like through butter, you have to take hits while having worse stats. Though I'm biased by my prevailing MoE experience who has 8x resurrect
