Is it me or did they over do it with the epics
Base set had 14 of them, Void had 10. Herold is going to have 14+ of them...

But I like the ideas

Indeed, but it is Epic and Unique at the same time, which means only one per deck if you are lucky enough to get it.

Still, really strong card.

I like this expansion more and more, they introduced a lot of cards that are counter to some very strong current decks. Chaos Seer seems like a good counter to OTK decks, every race has a low level blocker, so rush decks aren't as strong even though they also have some nice cards for rush decks. Blackskull Spellsmasher as a counter to control.
I really like it.

One VERY interesting thing I saw from that Video is that Namtaru Channeler doesn't benefit just from the spells, but from the events that has passive effect, if I saw it correctly, in that video, Namtaru's attack and retaliation was constantly changing when there was nothing changing in the battle except that even cards were switching. That is probably the reason why it is epic rarity.

I'm still missing some Sanctuary cards in all these spoilers. We got nearly half of the expansion spoiled but no Sanctuary cards yet.

I really hope Sanctuary gets new Level 2 creatures, especially a shooter or flyer (which could also be level 3) would be good. It's way to easy to fill your melee line with creatures in the beginning of the game but I'm often missing creatures for the ranged line.

Damn nice cards!

There seem to be a lot of cards that can deal with rush decks...

Towering affect is just nuts.

Lightning Strike is unbelievable, cost 2 magic to deal 4 damage to stack.....damn! My inferno rush tactic of gold pile + juggernauts can be countered so easily now! Bugger!

There seems to be a lot of epic and rare cards in this expansion...

Yes, but on the other hand, you have Chaos Lacerator, that is 2-0-3 and have Area Blast 3 for 2 resources! And on top of that, if it is killed in your turn(so even if you kill it), enemy discards one card. That card is made as great support for rushing decks!
When I look at it, it is better than original Lacerator in every possible way. Yes, he will probably kill himself, but it costs only 2, and can clear half the field of early level creatures and make a room for your other creatures to attack.

And about the Lighting Strike, it is actually same as 2x this


Except that it costs 1 resource more, so it is not that strong.

That's 2 seperate cards -- not really the same thing at all. Dealing 4 damage with bolts drains you off 1/3 your hand, so while they're efficient, they're costly in regards to another resource.

Stephane and Emile from Ubi have confirmed a couple of interesting and important things:

- Void Rising packs will surely be available immediately for gold,
- prizes for swiss will change into Herald of the Void,
- they will be working on the spectator mode over the summer,
they are working on a solution allowing for completing your collection by obtaining single cards, but it is at the thinking/designing phase and the implementation date isn't possible to even be estimated at the moment,
- one of the next but unfortunately farther away priorities is to work on short disconnects and reconnecting to a game issues that would prevent disconnect losses
- in the daily login prizes we will see gold, seals, swiss tickets, gold and XP boosts and even sometimes free packs or even other.

It looks like Herold will change a lot more then Void. Its logical. Void had a lot of cards connected to sanctuary, and only few for each faction/spell school. Now most of the 100 cards can be distrubited betwen the schools and factions.
Also I can see a strong effort to stop/prevent staller deck like OTK and Control and make the creature more durable.
How much will the new cards change the current decks, and which new ones will be constructed is hard to say. I Still think that OTK's and controls will be very strong decks. But inferno discard will be a very strong weapon now, and not a minor part of inferno strategies anymor, which is good for me... People will hate me even more.

No, I said that it is not that strong, big difference! It is great card, just not as strong as he thinks it is.

I know all that about Firebolts, they are early game tool, or to kill low level monster/weaken the higher level monster. I still don't think this is as strong as people think, it is not gamebreaking or anything like that. I hate playing against Death Seal/Soulreaver a lot more... even though Soulreaver costs 4, it is just retarded to kill unit instantly, and those are one of the reasons we don't see a lot of high might decks.
