H6 map editor - in-map navigation
In the bottom left corner, there are several information fields :
- camera position
- map coordinates (x,y,z)
- zoom factor
- name of selected map object (entity)
Clicking in some of these field allows to reset the camera parameters (rotation, zoom,...).
In the bottom right corner, there are 6 navigation buttons :
- Rotate : to change the point of view (it changes camera angle and rotation). Instead of clicking this button, you can use Ctrl + mouse middle button.
- Move : to move the map portion shown in the editor window. Instead of clicking this button, you can use mouse middle button.
- Roll : ?
- Zoom : to zoom in and out. Instead of clicking this button, you can roll the mouse middle button. Zooming is limited : it is generally not possible to have an overview from the whole map.
- Perspective : ?
>> Nota : Perspective allows to exceed the max zoom out.
- Orbit : ?
If one of these buttons is activated (-> specific mouse cursor), you can deactivate it by right clicking.
I usually navigate without these buttons, by using :
- roll middle mouse button : to zoom
- middle mouse button : to move the map
- Ctrl + middle mouse button : to rotate the map.
