He played mind games on them. He would act like he was leaving and come back in a couple of minutes. If anyone looked like they thought about escaping he beat them all. He fed them one meal a day.

Drama? You think this case has been dramatized? The Martin-Zimmerman case got more hype than this one.

As far as I'm concerned there is no way that Castro could be punished enough by man for what he did to those women. Life is not "fair," and never will be. He was facing the death penalty but did a plea bargain for the sentence he got.
Unfortunately he will get special treatment in prison. The prison will have to protect him and he won't be placed in general population because otherwise the inmates would give him a taste of what he did to those girls.

In my field, it's fairly easy to find out who is who in a small town. Between the district court, circuit court, prosecutor's office, and the Offend Tracking Information Service, I can find out quite a bit about my neighbors.
That said, the 90-year-old priest and 78-year-old widow aren't really a huge concern.

I wouldn't necessarily call them evil since I don't believe in the concept, I prefer the sound of "incompatible with the moralities of society". I believe that these "monsters" should be allowed to live as they choose, I had considered maybe deportation or exile, but that would just mean that they're likely to be a blight on others, so perhaps private reservations? However not after such an individual commits such a heinous crimes over such a breadth of time.
I also approve that such a person should be given medical help, but only if requested by the individual, I see no reason why our morality should be enforced on anyone, but if he chooses the life of an animal then he must live apart or be put down, we choose the life we live, and the consequences are ours alone.
Here we had a paranoid schizophrenic who by her own free will sought out medical aid, despite her morally paralyzing condition and homicidal tendencies, so I believe that anyone who truly wishes to be a "good" citizen is well within his or her power to be one.

don't be so naive tsar ivor.
people will say anything to get out of clean. you have to understand that they are indeed evil, we may not agree to society morals, we may not agree to it laws,but we still have to abide it. and if we won't we are criminals. i believe in death penalty. i believe in castration of rapist and pedophiles.
