Hotseat waiting time
Hi,
I was just wondering about the hotseat mode in WoG. When I start the normal H3 complete and I play in hotseat mode there is almost no waiting time after I finished my turn and my friend starts to play.
In WoG we have to wait for about five seconds after either I or he has finished his turn. Is there any way to disable this feature/bug?
I know this is useful when playing against one another, but when playing in team vs the AI it is quite annoying.
Sincerly,
The-Forgotten

You are very lucky because you have one human to play with you multiplayer.É have not.

The waiting time is due to heaps of WoG code that is executed between turns if I remember correctly.
It could probably be optimized to some degree, but I doubt anyone would really want to do this. It's not annoying enough for anyone capable of such things.

There are some WOG scripts running.
Don't use WOG, and all will be ok.
Or disable all WOG scripts.

I don't think this is the reason.
When I start WoG and disable all WoG options the game is still slow between turns.
When I play WoG in single player there is no break between the turns, the next turn starts immediately, even with most WoG Options active.

3-4 seconds is what I get in single player while running daily 10 timers on all mines, all heroes, all monsters and dwellings. It is very unlikely to get 5 seconds delay, post a save.

How to post the save?
I just tested the save in single player and there is no delay. The delay exists only in the hotseatmode of WoG.

Loaded it in Era and I get instant data transfer. I recommend you to install Era (last wog version), then wog revised from mods thread then play safe.

That's strange, I get instant data transfer, not even half second. Did you load the wog 3.58 autosave or started a new game in era? Must start a new.

Started a new game using h3era.exe to start the game.
When I start heroes3.exe I also still have the instant transfer, but not when using h3era.exe.
Is there some setting or someting similar that I miss?

open heroes3.ini in your game folder, and see if CPUPatch=1. Try CPUPatch=0 then test again please. If this doesn't fix, then I don't know.
At last resort download Turbo wog mod, install it, then test. This mod removed all daily music (3-4 seconds) so you will be fixed if your problem is due to scripts or simply the music which is delaying turns.

That didn't fix it either.
I just downloaded some screen capture software in order to show the issue.
First I start Era then I start H3 original.

I don't think that my computer is too slow for H3 Era:
Hardware:
CPU: i7-3930K @ 3.20 Ghz x 12
RAM: 8 GB
Graphic: GTX 680
is there anything else that Era needs?

That did it. Turbo wog solved the problem.
Is this delay a bug or a feature?
Thanks for you help!

Well no bug, is the game regular music. It is the "new day.wav" which plays and delays your turn. however turbo wog is shockingly fast so you will probably not like play with. Download THIS MOD, it will only remove that music and let game play unchanged. Will solve your issue.
