My way to ban Enlightment is to check EXP gained on certain battles. I used map locations to check EXP before and after a battle. Is there a better way?
If you use _combatEnded it gets EXP before the battle.
And if EXP > the exp for the battle, then a message is send to all players or maybe I will make a script for crashing the game..haven`t decided yet

Would be nice to be very clear on the map rules somewhere that everyone sees. Especially this one.
Anyway, me and Xamolxis have finished our game. It was tons of fun, thank you for that Natalka, it ended week 4 or 5, dont remember. Me Haven vs him Necro. He had the best start, but i was lucky to catch him off guard in the underground, so i managed to get the best of it. I guess, if we count real playingtime it must have taken some 20-30 hours + over 10 days, maybe more, time flies fast when having fun.

There is an easy way to include rules in the map : by using the quests display.
Quest title : rule name
Quest text : rule description
Each rule is described in a separate quest.
With this solution, all what the players have to know before playing the map : opening the quest display will show the rules.
Nota : as far as I know, quests are disabled in non-compaign and non-scenario maps. But it is still possible to write quests.

Rules were in the pdf. You should have agreed on rules before starting the game. So someone used enlightment or no ?

That not an issue, I just remember the first time i played the map in single player I was a bit confused since i am used to banned things being greyed out. I rarely take time to read anything, I just play :-). But a sign at the castle would be my suggestion, and/or any automatic check. And no, didnt use enlightenment. I think i got an artifact at some stage that gave me an enlightenment-like bonus though

XAMO is on vacation, so i guess he will update next week. Btw, if you get your map on the Toh report page, that is good. But its not a big deal.
1 - Not sure - i took the 50 phoenixes day 6 some week, with 7 Seraphs, 31 Blaze, 100+ guards, etc. I GUESS week 4. Xamol took 100 phoenixes, probably earlier than me.
2 - not sure about relics, i dont think I had many, and they probably all came from the 2 utopias i found.
3 Noone took champ dwelling in the middle, not sure if there are anyone else, we met by the seaside there.
Btw, both were magic. In final it would have been great with might, but i cant really see how to get there creeping with some of the factions. First days are increadibly hard anyway.

so U didn`t take utopias or relics from the centre? The strange thing is if Zamolxis broke week 3 why he didn`t take champ dwell for week 4 champs increase..
about might creeping - play more and you will manage with might too
and about TOH - if more players write a good word I`m sure Ves may put it there. I don`t want to advertise and push my map. If it is worth for TOH let it be there.
Next version with decreased XP will not be ready soon... we play once a week for 2 hours..summer ..and we still haven`t finished our last game though both our main heroes are in underground zone but who knows maybe someone will piss on his/her pants and teleport home

Neutralizing Enlightment
The following function reverts the xp bonus :
Scenario_ModifyHeroAttributes
Multiply = -0.2
Attribute XpModifier
If you apply this to all the heroes on the map, they will gain only 80% of xp.
My proposal to neutralize Enlightment on your map :
- give Enlightment to all the heroes (starting heroes and recruited heroes)
- apply XpModifier to all the heroes (with ModifyHeroAttributes)

Necropolis Might Tears absolutely rocks against any other might faction. I don`t know which faction can beat them..
I was Blood Dungeon and didn`t have enough damage potential to fight against necromancy racial coupled with 2 chamber of necromancy from towns.
Final was week 3 and we had week of fever - so even with such a small army the racial is absolutely OP. Add on top of that Death is not the end.
My boyfriend had nice combo - +2 dmg to shooters(Unicorn Horn Bow) and +2 dmg to creatures (Assassin`s Boots). His skeletons were a killer and I managed to kill half of them with luck and morale on Chakram Dancers but he raised 60% of the fallen ones before shooting with them. They killed 35% of my Chakrams and I realized I can`t win the shooters war. Our army was nearly equal in damage. Even though I killed Lamasus I didn`t make a scratch to the Vampire Lords who had +10/+10...
Only some destructive blood faction can beat them week 3 but maybe lose week 4. So my advice is don`t play against necro might with a might faction

As promised in the oher thread I made a replay for Locksley. Sanctuary attacked on day 6 week 2 beacause it didn`t have resources to build champ creatures + fortification 3 in both towns. To sum up it needed it asap so Sanctuary`s general - Shiquan.( Yes, sq79 I made a hero with your name and looks because I miss you so much. Where did you go? )
So Shiquan took it day 6 with no problems and some luck. Who is observant and can tell me what the luck was?

Here is the replay of our last game on ver 1.13
Replay ended sooner because hdd space ran out. At the end of turn I killed 3 Sacred Kirins with Blackies and next turns I casted Implosion on them and attacked with Blackies again and it was over.
It seems that Sanctuary Magic has no chance vs Blackies. I had luck with Magic Defense - 50 and Spirit Bond was removed by a bug. Maybe outcome will be the same...next game we will play same matchup.

Great videos!
I can’t believe it would take a month for me to find time to watch it, but I guess that’s how work works... Work, then do things you have to do and then do things you want to do…
Your final battle was interesting to follow, and those dragons were tough. The kirins can’t do much to give them a match either, thanks to the dragons’ hailstorm immunity. A new situation, otherwise it’s normal that the kirin K.O. the enemy champion asap.
I’m not sure what the lucky aspect of the early dragon battle is. But it was funny that the dragons draw withering breaths on single kappa stacks. And the stump was perfectly placed and saved the kenseis from several hits. And it was great that the closest dragon stacks didn’t die in a lucky strike or something, that way they protected you from the bigger stacks until the bigger stacks were gone.
Interesting that you (or is it your opponent?) only did direct hits with the hero. In my game I didn’t take regeneration because that would be the priestesses’ task, while I casted destructive. I didn’t know about the large amount of dragons when making that plan.
Instead of regeneration I have celestial armour which is the bad choice I wish I could forget/respecialize, but it’s cheaper than regeneration, and the 50 % extra protection often mean 100 % no losses when combined with the waves of renewal in week 2-3. I haven’t used it much after week 3 but as it was my only tears spell so I casted it a lot when facing the dragons. I also used pressed attack which I picked to save mana, as I’ve mentioned before. But the basic tactics is the same; hiding behind the kensheis.
My game is progressing much slower than yours because it’s the first time I’m playing through the map and have no idea about where I ought to go and what to do. I was stuck when I went to work, but earlier today I started to play again, and saw that I had forgot the portal to the treasure island (the one seen in the video). I hoped to reach the enemy there but I didn't.
I had massive problems with the 50 and 100 phoenixes guarding the underground. Their immunity to blood made my hero useless, and the prime damage made the waves useless as well.
I solved it by buying a scroll for summoning water elementals – whose ice bolt works on phoenixes! I defeated the northern guard of 50 phoenixes by bolt freezing them (0 movement), hiding behind single wanizame stacks, using celestial armour on kirins, and shooting them to pieces with creatures with pressed attack.
The southern guard of 100 phoenixes was still impossible to defeat which was a pity since they guarded an AMULET OF THUNDER that I needed.
So I used DIPLOMACY!
My main hero is Jun, the guy who starts with that skill, and when I went underground in the north I was joined by ~190 sentinels to hide behind. I also got 4 ravagers as a reward from a battle site, and when I split them in 3 stacks their aura meant that my kirins were saved from 3 unhealable hits.
I also picked up summon light & earth elementals when I reached 2 new levels in the underground.
And then, in MONTH 3 WEEK 3 DAY 1, after riding back and forth, up and down, here and there and everywhere, my sneaky diplomacy and summoning gave me the victory over the phoenixes.
Impressive…
Now I’m ready to sweep through the underground and conquer my sleepy AI enemy!
BTW, here’s the conversation Natalka and I had in the other thread. Since we were talking about Jungle Fever I think it’s best to collect everything here.Locksley said: Natalka, your Jungle Fever map with all those inventions is also at the to-do-list. Maybe in multiplayer some day but I guess I have to practice in single player first.
natalka said: Nooo these are not inventions! I just reinvented the wheel from previous heroes games because H6 lacks adventure map objects.
Locksley said: I played Jungle Fever yesterday and I liked both the map and the inventive new extra map objects. There are some message boxes that keep popping whenever I'm near any special object but that's a minor detail in the whole Picture.
You said "very fun and difficult" and I can only agree with that. There's a good economic pressure and need for careful planning. I started as Sanctuary with a Flood Conjurer and it's a real challenge for my priestesses to shoot down the neutrals, all are either invisible, shooters or very fast. First week I lost all sharkmen and kappas and no priestesses , and on W2D1 I reached level 5 & 6 and is ready for the tougher fights. But my bad luck with the neutrals isn't over; I see 3 groups of Black Dragons (immunity!) guarding the most important places.
natalka said: I`m glad you started playing on my map.
1) The tooltip that is popping all the time is the windmill/watermill one. I agree I should change it somehow to pop-up more rarely. Now it pops up every 20 secs ONLY if there is hero nearby but it is the only way to tell you that you have visited if you forgot or loaded an old game
2) Don`t fight the Blackies until you have reached level 20 and huge army of Pearl Priestesses and Kenshis(at least 30 for tanking).
In our game that we started a few days ago we both have Blackies there and my opponent is a flood conjurer also. If you want I will share a replay when we get there.
Locksley said: Thank you, that would be helpful.
natalka said: that could be in 2 weeks ... tonight I can share some replays - full crypt and ore dwelling. If u want please start a new thread- creeping "something" and i will add links of our game.
EDIT: Blackies can be beaten with 66 Pearl Priestesses, 12 Kenshis ..I forgot I beat that monolith end of week 2.
I hope you were right in your guide and I can use spring spirits to put additional 20% air dmg on them from priestesses.
Locksley said: Perhaps you could post it in your Jungle Fever Thread or in this very old thread called Creeping in Heroes 6 to restart it so that a more enlightened discussion can be had?
I figured out that the key to winning over the dragons is to use things like reinforcements, waves of renewal and pressed attack, but I didn't dare to try it as early as you did. Thanks for telling what's possible.
The dragon section of the guide only mentions the activated abilities, not passives, but a quick test today showed that Blackies are immune to both soaked and frozen, but not to Challenge or Eyes of the Medusa. A big thing to miss, I'll add it one day.
natalka said: don`t taake reinforcements II and pressed attack with a Flood Conjurer.
Locksley said: Yes I don't have reinforcement at all (but it was my way for handling dragons in the dungeon campaign), and pressed attack was picked only as way to save mana against my unusually tough neutrals. I just had to get it at level 7 on a tuesday to keep creeping during that week.
I have one problem though, I couldn't respecify my hero. Not when reaching level 10 and not at 9, 11, 12 and not when reaching blood/tears 1 either. It has happened in all (4) long non-campaign games I've played. Maybe it's because I upgraded reputation before level 10? Can that problem be solved/avoided somehow?
natalka said: You should have around 50 Pearl Priestesses week2. You can kill everything without mana if you have high enough spellpower on your hero. I recommend you level up logistics, tactics(essential, no brainer) then level up magic power from prime magic and air magic power. This will give u a nice boost to dmg on Priestesses and increase their healing capacity. Then I literally just press defend with Kenshis and all creeps attack only them anyway. To increase damage I attack with Spring Spirits. It is much more effective to first kill and make big damage with priestesses and then cast Waves not the other way arround. Just watch out so that Kenshis don`t die completely.
If u face shooters send Kenshis forward because you will receive half damage.
I never respecified in a heroes game. It would be extremely powerful to get rid of the unneeded skills.

What do you mean when you say I use only direct hits with the hero? I always save mana and use hero attacks in 90% of the battle turns and think ahead so I know I will need mana later that day. Before level 15 you have to do it to be fast. After level 15 and meditation you can use half mana per battle. The lucky aspect was the stump, you found it already!
About the diplomacy - those stacks in the underground always join no matter the hero.
Buying elemental scrolls is very good against those phoenixes, well done

Victory!
Month 4 Week 1 Day 5
To my surprise my AI enemy woke up when I took the champion dwelling on the underground Island. A level 28 (My Jun was 30) Mokka appeared with an army almost as big as mine (if I hadn't picked up 500 kappa joiners below Mokka's entrance to the underground).
We had a big fight which I won easily with a typical sanctuary charge. Mokka fled and after that she made three attempts to siege my hometown, but Jun teleported back each time Mokka reached his doorstep. After some weeks of hide and seek, teleporting and riding in circles Jun's grand army took Mokka's Place which caused Mokka to teleport to her other stronghold, which Jun reached the next day.
The cyclopses hid in the central keep which was unwise as impervious to pain didn't work at all when my kirins tore down the tower!
Victory!
Even if I played it as single player I think Jungle Fever is a great map. It's a fun creeping challenge that needs a lot of planning ahead. Now when I know the map I hope that the planning part will be much easier next time I play it, so that I can end it faster. Next time it will be with a might hero, to see how that is.
Quote: What do you mean when you say I use only direct hits with the hero?
I meant that as a compliment: using a simple mana saving strategy that works is . My own more advanced mix of celestial armour, pressed attack and other things was pointless.Quote: About the diplomacy - those stacks in the underground always join no matter the hero.
And I was so proud of my own brilliance.Quote: Buying elemental scrolls is very good against those phoenixes, well done
Thank you!

Might is hard...try Dungeon Might and upgrade to Chakram Dancers day 2 - you need only 1 Blood Crystal
Also I buy 2 heroes day 1 - one of native town and one with max goblins.
