Sorry to crush your dreams, but there are artworks of each nine factions of Ashan in the Ashan Compendium book.
That's one sample of Academy artwork, there are more. But doesn't mean that they are going to be added to HVI.

I Think they were originally planned to be in the base game. But yeah, I feel it was a mistake to leave out a Magic faction from release.

I think their excuse was that Necromancers are magic faction, and still part of the Seven Cities. To me, that is another reason for academy to be present...

I agree. Introducing Dark Elves and Necromancers, but not their 'good' counterparts Sylvan and Academy makes little sense to me. Also, I hate the idea of reducing faction numbers in game's sequel.

I'm afraid they'll do the same (reduced number of factions) on HVII, if it occurs...
Academy should be a safe bet though, probably the most wanted faction for HVI by the fans...

Apart from Sylvan, which I'm amazed wasn't introduced with Dungeon given the only events that involved the latter at the time also involved the former.

Really, Academy and Sylvan were both a lot more relevant to the H6 story than Stronghold and Sanctuary. Though I like Sanctuary because it's something new and original to the HoMM series.
My optimal H6 with the story and development resources we got.
Base game: Haven, Inferno, Necropolis, Academy, Sylvan
Expansion 1: Dungeon
Expansion 2: Sanctuary

Ubisoft is really dumb if they not add in academy and sylvan still.
Everybody can see everybody will buy that game period.
Alongside I think they must introduce more adventure map buildings neutrals alternate upgrades and terrain styles and hopefully weather.
And if all is set and done maybe back to the 7 resources? But that prob will not happen.
Still hoping for academy and sylvan though.
I would hate it if Ubi decided to make a new buggy rushed unfinished base game.

? don'T know what you mean. I won't buy H6. Unless some years from now I have quite some money and stumble upon a "8,95€ for the game with all main expansions" offer - in a shop, as cd dvd, of course...
