The Ai does The Damnest Things!
Why oh why does he give all his creatures over to a noob hero?
This happened twice in roll. He had throngs but his hero was no higher then lvl 5 so I can easily take him out especially if I was spellcaster and something like implosion.
Do I've to take out the tavern just to make the ai more competitive?

Just don't play vs dumb AI, try real multiplayer over the Internet for a challegne. Then you can enjoy the new life of heroes

You may consider the possibility AI wanted to develop his secondary heroes, whom you defeated in the very army transfer.

Has anyone tried taking out the tavern and just giving 1 or 2 heroes to the ai? Or they more competitive this way?
The problem with the ai is he spreads his heroes army to much and the map isn't really that big either. Make's it incredibly easy to beat him even though I give him huge handicap's.

I guess the above suggestion would be better as long as the AI doesn't lose his non-renewable heroes.

I've tried multiplayer before like 12 yrs ago lol. It was too slow I remember.. I'm kinda surprised people even still play this game. I doubt I'll find any multiplaye games even if I did it'll be hard.

What is even dumber is his best hero is the explorer carrying a weakass army so anyone who kills him easily gets armageddon's blade and just about every other artifact in the whole game.
Ai why you so stupid?

i played random map on a biiig map (not jebus, but comparable random)
the ai made like 20+ holes to search the grail, i see it with exp earth and made sure he didnt have it yet by "visiting" his towns, i dig one tile where he made like that:
0xxx
xxxx
xxxx
xxxx
xxxx
and found it loool
maybe it decided it had enough gold...
also carrying shackles when facing bigger army is completly o_O

Thats hilarious xD, i am often suprised by how fast the AI can find the grail.
Today i saw an enemy AI hero attacking on a lvl 7 monster. It was guarding a lot of treasures and the Lions shield of courage. The defficulty was Impossible. The neutrals were 'a lot of devils'. suprisingly enough the hero dissapeared and the next day it was 'a few devils'. gracefully i killed the 3 devils and took the treasures as well xD never saw something like that before

That happens if the map difficulty is set low. The ai tends to underestimate armies. Although, I think it can still underestimate armies at either setting just less likely the higher it is.

Sorry for the necro of this thread, but I had one of these games today as well. Messing around with Solmyr on Divided Loyalties, I got a bit bored after taking over 2 AIs' towns, defending my starting Tower with some makeshift Master Gremlin and Stone Gargoyle army against the second one's main hero (Alchemist with Rampart troops) and losing sight of his remaining forces. So I loaded the game as the AI in question and found the situation to be how-did-you-even-do-that-precarious. Thought it might make an interesting challenge to play, actually.
After losing not only the glorious Josephine, whatever skills she may have had apart from her magnificent and mighty Mysticism and dazzling Sorcery, but also your temporarily recaptured former secondary Castle again, you still have 5 heroes - none of them are particularly strong or high-leveled, 2 are undead, they are awfully positioned in the most remote corners one could think of... but the mix-and-match troops spread across them make for a decent force that might prevent it from being entirely hopeless. You also have a surprising number of artifacts, including a random Orb of Inhibition on your starting hero Melodia who recently visited a warrior's tomb in the middle of the swamp.
Your foes are Red, whose starting Tower is quite underdeveloped, but he has 5 towns in total, two of which are decently upgraded - a Fortress (up to Wyverns, I could have gotten Hydras there the week earlier, but I think I first blew my Sulfur on Gorgons without thinking and then got a capitol from my gold instead because of said lacking Sulfur) and your old Rampart (up to Unicorns)
Orange, a Necromancer, has less towns, but has been building forces undisturbed since the start of the game so his total strength is higher and he has Ghost Dragons already.
It's only Week 4, Day 3, but by the time your heroes return from the absolute backwaters of the map...
I hope this upload site is reliable: https://files.fm/u/797p6ykm#_
Edit: Oops, Josephine has Mysticism, not Resistance.
