Random Op Ai
Ever get one of those times where AI is just completely Op and unbeatable?
Maybe it's just the map I made which has so many random elements. In month 2, week 3 my ally had 23 archangel's, 10 ghost dragons, 8 fairy dragons, 13 red dragons, 100 trolls, 2 rust dragons and 3 crystal dragons. Her stats were all over 20+.
And I thought I was doing good with my 30 tb's, 8 ancient behemoths.
Maybe I should have player's test my map. I'm getting tired of this. Is alway's either 1 ai dominates the whole map (most of the time my ally) or everyone is weak and I just destroy them easily.

It's diplomacy. It's a snow balling effect. Most fleeing creatures will join for free at expert level, anyhow. And it's not only about the price as it as about the growth in the wandering creatures. Towns simply cannot produce growth in such numbers as wandering creatures can.
My guess is that the AI is just more active with more heroes. Add diplomacy to that equation.

Doesn't diplomacy cost a ton of gold to get creatures to join you? I mean I can't imagine ai had that much gold to afford all of that.
What I think is he just got lucky to get a ton of archangels to join him and after that everyone was scared **** an either joined or fleed.

8 behemots is what you should have week 3, not month 2, week 3. And 20+ all stats is usually done before week 4 too, depends on utopias around. Looks like AI just plays better than you.

It's hard to say, because you could have done a lot to the map to improve the ai.
If it was any random map, given how slowly the ai typically develops and expands, units like those would really only happen through diplomacy, I believe.
In any case, the ai is still easily beatable. It usually won't be able to stop you from conquering faster than it despite the strength of its heroes, so just drag the game until you either have the stats and the units or the spells required to take it out.
Though typically it'll be a lot of effort for little return, as the ai will likely just retreat and lose all its unit without any battle once you can actually beat it, making the fun part last only a few minutes and the dragged, tedious, part last for a couple of hours, depending on the map.

8 AB in Month 3, week 2 is indeed very low. You should try to learn how to play better

I'm playing to my best of my ability already.
I usually go capital 1st week, then on 2nd week I'll have lvl 7 creatures. Not sure why I only had 8 ab's at the time. I think there was a plague on 1 week.
And it wasn't month 3 it was somewhere in month 2.

That's the problem I keep getting with the ai. I'm trying to make a more challenging map. Most of the time I'll fight a weak hero and he'll drop like 10+ artifacts. Which begs the question why'd the ai transfer all his artifacts to a weak undeveloped hero?

If you get level 7 units week 1 in stead of week 2, and the map ends at week 3, you'll have 67% more level 7 units, not to mention the other units as well.
The AI has many faults, bad decisions on spells, will only build its town to level 4 units for long periods of time, doesn't care about its stats, etc.
Personally I don't think the problem is that it's difficult to program (though good spell selection can be), I think the problem is mainly that the people who develop the game and the people who're very skilled at the game aren't the same people. If you've made a computer game where the computer can be a player, it should be a common experience that the computer will only work with the ideas the designer gave it, so while it can calculate faster, it might have been given some bad strategies to begin with.
Typical ways out of this is to try to generalize the strategies and have the ai learn from games, but I really don't think that is the case with heroes of might and magic, where a lot of values seems fixed for the ai, forcing it to faulty prioritize again and again. I think an obvious case of this is when it re-scouts Cover of Darkness so it keeps on moving forward and backward with the same hero, in stead of either letting the hero stay or leave.

My map is a lot different then the typical random map.
I try to make it as fun as possible with as much random elements so you never know how the game will turn out to be.
Obviously, there is still many balance issues and I'm growing tired of playing my own map.
Idk what it is about this game or me. If I play it for a real long time I start getting sick. Maybe the game is so old and I get all those repressed memories (Like my mom nagging me to get off my ass.)or of how I get reminded of how stupid the ai can be.
Look's like I'm going to have to go on hiatus.. Pfffft!
