Sharing maps that you liked
Hello,
I made this topic with the intention of finding good maps. I know the amount of maps offered is HUGE and thats good, but at the same time it's weakness as well. I've been dissapointed by a lot of maps I downloaded and i hope we can share eachother experiences here 
So here it goes: Please drop the name of (one of) your favourite maps here and tell us what kind of map it is and why you like it especially. As well as propterties which make the map most kind of enjoyable in your opinion! (so tell if it is a huge RPG or a small puzzlemap for example). I will start.
Castle dracula Map download
played the map together with my brother and i have made a few adjustments to make it harder.
The map is not very special, straightforward but pretty enjoyable.
- Decent difficulty
- Anti-rush map (even though it is medium sized, border guards and garrisons guard the players).
- Big battles
- No dimension door/fly allowed.
Tips for playing:
- This map fits best on Impossible difficulty
- Give every player a different town to make it harder (you won't be able to pick necropolis or Castle to make it a bit harder).
About the map: The goal is to take destroy the 'villain' of the map, Dracula before it is to late, but that is easier said then done. Decisions have to be made. Do you go for an early strategic advantage by claiming the middle area? or do you get rid of your neighbour as soon as possible?
I really hope to see a lot of enjoyable maps here, thank you in advance
P.S. If you play the map/other maps that are posed please give feedback, what could be better? Did you enjoy it?

Every map out there either disappoints me or doesn't suit my style of play tbh.
So I decided to make one myself using the mapping layout from Beachen.
It's not perfect, but it's better then most non-story driven maps.
I would post it on map4heroes if I knew how too!

I figured was something like that just thought it would be more sophisticated.
I'm not a fan of campaign style maps. I prefer classic gameplay. So I've to go out on my own and create my own map since all the mappers are married to wog.
I don't care whether I'm a good map maker tbh...
I just don't have the time or dedication for that stuff.

You have to mail someone from Maps4heroes(the mailadress appears when you click on add map in a new screenslot). Then attach your map like any other document.
You can as well use speedylink (like i used) and drop the link here, I am hungry for a good map

I'm still making maps for HoMM3, but lately I don't have much time to do it (because of highschool I can only go home every second Friday). I'd send you some of my maps, but I'm not at home right now. I'll either send them to you by email, or I'll HCM you with a link to download them.
In any case you should know that they haven't been tested and that they're probably gonna need some more editing.

If you prefer non-campaign like map's just classic style gameplay I can send it to you to your email.

Would like it if they provide a challenge, but not uber-impossible, i am not as pro as some others on the forums

u should make the dwellings depandant of starting town
a horde of upped lvl 3s guarding the garrison is basicly unbeatable on impossible, and any less the ai is a joke, just some points you should think about

Are you talking too me or op? If my map then I recommend playing on normal or lower. It's not really doable on impossible unless you've the luck of the irish or some super cheap tactic up your sleeve.

Sorry...but do you really think long-year experienced players play any map on 100% or even lower??
Any custom made map is (normally) played on 200% to create at least a little bit of challenge against the AI.
What is a "campaign style" map you are talking about?
There are many maps out there which are just great. Gameplay, design, difficulty, surprises, hidden ways....
I guess you just don't know many of these:
The Lord of War
Unleashing the bloodthirsty
The Empire of the World II (III)
Vengeance is mine
The Lone Knight
To Kill For Power
And the best campaign I have knowledge of:
Eternal Love
Try those and tell us how you did...

lol, not everyone can play like you, dude 
IMO, maps where you have to amass an army of over 4k level 7 creatures to beat it is... boring

I have tried some of these maps, but thats the point, i am looking for a normal map (like you will get from the random map generator) but where the AI has a huge advantage over you. Those huge maps you show are fantastic, but those maps include a lot of boring fights 2 where 10 minutes of rescurection is needed etc
And the best campaign I have knowledge of:

Try those and tell us how you did...

Yo this is exactly like my map. Did you play it yet? It's my 1st creation so I'm like dying for opinion. >_<
