No, it does have to do with knowledge, namely that our knowledge of morality (by which I mean that which we can discover by ourselves) is flawed at best, and only God has perfect knowledge of what's moral. If you think morality is subjective, you're wrong, because it contradicts what God says, and when the two are in conflict, God is right and you are wrong, because God is omniscient and you aren't.
We have free will to do whatever we want, but that doesn't mean that whatever we want is true. You are free to say that vaccines cause autism, for example, but in doing so you aren't determining the truth, but contradicting it.
It's true that God could make people believe whatever He wants and preserve our free will (and the seeming contradiction can be explained by him being omnipotent and not subject to logic), but He doesn't. We don't know why, but he must have a good reason, we just have to have faith. And if you defy Him, it may make no sense to you that He would punish you for it, but that doesn't matter - what matters is whether it makes sense to Him, not to you.
Are you playing devil's advocate here, or is this an actual argument? Because I have seen you tear arguments like this apart line by line before, and I really see no reason for you to be using it now.

That is what consistent Christian belief is. I am not a Christian, and I don't believe that the Christian god exists, so I don't think that morality is determined by God's will. But that is what a Christian must believe.

So then, you are playing devil's advocate, as it is not something that you believe but you are arguing it for the sake of argument. Good to know. Almost thought for a moment that we had lost an atheist/ agnostic brother there

Blind Faith
How can you have blind faith in something for which there isn't a scrap of evidence? Well the answer is you can't. If you could prove it, it wouldn't be faith. You can only have faith in what you don't know. That's what faith is. These are the roots of our arguments.

I can prove that I exist.
I have faith, that the sun rises next morning based on my empiric evidences.
I have blind faith in God.

Evolution, fate, creation, fluke.
You can call it what you like. They are all words we use to describe the same thing...God is the name given by believers for the force behind creation.

I believe Mona Lisa had a painter, Mount Rushmore had a sculptor and creation has a Creator.
It's not "blind" faith, it's reasoning back an effect to its cause. Evolutionists use the same principle.
@Artu: I got that point. Goes something like this: If i create a robot with artificial intelligence I have no rights over it because it might argue with me that it didn't agree with me to bring it into existence. Is this a good analogy?

You probably also believe that you have a father then.
Quote: and creation has a Creator
Yes, and his name is Brahma. Problem?
So, a topic about philosophical "objectivity" predictably devolved into a yet another religious debate. Maybe a stricter definition of what is considered on-topic and what will be off-topic is needed when such threads are started...

And as usual religion only stoops down the level of discussion. You'd think people would have the decency not object to things they can't even comprehend.

Because the question of this thread was a metaphysical one.
"What would you define good in physical terms?"
And the answer is simple: Nothing.

That's the thing about religion, everyone agrees to disagree with each other! Since the beginning of mankind, more thought has gone into the understanding of God than any other subject under the sun - and still nobody is the wiser!
