Translating English strings in WoG? Also, mithril smelter
Is it possible? If so, how to do this? I have a Polish version and Polish mixed with English plus broken fonts do hurt my eyes. I use the newest Era, WoG, WoG Revised and handful of other mods.
Besides, how to edit .dat files? The creator of the Mithril Smelter script said it would be possible to edit its .dat file for customised experience. However, when I open it with Notepad, Wordpad or Microsoft Word all I see is broken content impossible to understand and alter.

A dat file is storing your wog options in. You load it when in wog options screen, change things by checking this or that, then resave it, then play. I am not sure how era >2.4 reads dat files, I noticed dat being overwritten by other dats, depends on name I think. Also not sure that a settings.dat from mod folder has priority over root, I think not anymore, have to ask.

Uhm... yes, I'm aware of it. However, WoG refers those .dat files to WoGification options. I meant, how do I open any .dat file and tamper with it?
A readme file of the mithril smelter says:
Quote: Requires WoG Revised mod and priority over it. Replaces forgotten shrines option with mithril mine. Gives daily 1/2/3 mithril bars, according to the difficulty selected. Has its own mithril.dat which you can modify.

A dat file is not meant to be opened. You load it when in wog options, change options around as you want, resave in mithril.dat and voila, now mithril.dat contains your options.
