Hissing sound on Windows 7
Hey, does anybody else have this problem? While playing H3 (Era 2.46 + HD mod) under Win 7, there is a hissing sound in the background. Like the game sounds are from an old transistor radio or something.
I tried disabling the new sound options of the HD mod one by one but it's not about that.

Try first win xp/95 compatibility and see how it goes. Speakers connections are ok?

No, doesn't help. Actually, I discovered that the problem goes beyond H3, under OS X the sound is fine, when I switch to Windows 7, the hissing begins. Yet, it is very low and under normal circumstances you don't immediately notice it. The master sound level for Heroes 3 is very high though, even if you play with almost no sound (level 1 or 2) the hissing is noticeable as is every other game sound. When I searched some boot camp forums I've found out some people have this issue and it's a matter of driver compatibility. It says to change driver via Device Manager.
With the HD Audio Device, there's no sound at all and Realtek is the hissing one. This is an iMac from 2008, can anybody link to a proper site of sound driver downloads? Under OS X you never deal with these things, it's all perfectly set for you, so I'm kind of a rookie.

After downloading and installing latest sound drives from Realtek, problem is solved. Let it be noted for future reference.
