I'd think more of showing features in gameplay so no need for explains.
Here's the idea : for instance, during combat, we see the new haldebardier hitting Cove creature with luck negates, then we see a box telling lvl1-2 spells are prevented, followed by a Sea Dog's dead shot. You should be able to cover a lot of HotA's features by making some chain-lightning elements, alternating fights and adventure map as core ingredients.
What Sal said about the music made me directly think of this ultra epic one in H3, COMBAT02.mp3 ! Of course it is nice to be able to hear the Cove theme somehow, maybe you can figure out a way to put both sounds.
Only rough ideas to show you the direction I'd go, for me seing others perspectives never fails to help

Community sponsored tournament - a thought
So, I want to know what you guys think of the idea of a community organised and sponsored HotA tournament. It's known that the crew doesn't accept donations of any kind, however, donations raised and administrated by the community could be put into a collective price poll that could be used to organise a tournament to help grow the competitive scene around HotA.
There would obviously be some organising do to if enough people was interested. Such as, who would administrate the donations and pay the winners afterwards. And, should there be a limit of participants that can sign up. It could be a small tournament or even a bigger one. Also, what would the sign up requirement be. I'm personally thinking of people already known in the competitive scene. And, should the donation requirement be fixed, say, 5 dollars per donor, no more, no less. And so on...
But first thing first, would you be interested in, and would you consider supporting such an event? What do you think/feel about the idea in general?
