Firstly, Necromancer Apprentice.
Secondly, Vampire Lord makes sense in a wannabe vampire deck.

Having a personalized deck is a big part of card games so your second point is undisputed But the necromancer apprentice is a waste of space for me. There are better lvl 2 units that I would loathe to skip.

No. But keep your cards, they might prove useful later although now u cannot use them now.

Yeah, keep all epics. Once you have played a while, you will interchange between heroes and factions, and you might need other cards. Besides, you should collect all the cards eventually (achievements and versatility).

I remember when I was playing Xorm in the beginning and nothing but....I thought to myself that I would never move away from him, now I play a different faction every day.

So got the "Win 5 games for Sanc" quest today for WC. This motivated me to construct a deck, that i thought I wouldn't play for a long time to come, a Kenage based decks.

Surprisingly 2 games and 2 wins, and I even used his abilitie. He still  is the most useless of the new heroes in my eyes, especially since Sanc. lost most of their big creatures, still he showed me again how fun this faction is.

I still hate how they made them in BS2. apart from Honor and some attempts to make a Shalan bounce deck, there is little variation in their cards.

But I must say, encountered Nautilus in a Shalan bounce and it was interesting to see.
I might consider this a slight mill themed deck in the future.

^^ Stevie welcome to the party, unfortunately sometimes the doc server does go for a ball of chalk, perhaps give it an hour or so, go onto their twitter account and facebook account and check server status as well.

played a couple of swiss weekly and all I can say is Belias is 2 strong, specially with ur-juball's bug, your ability triggering it, also earth and fire spells help also; belias is the boss of this weekly

I still play Ishuma in open for Sanc wins, but I must say Takana decks with honor binds us are very strong, probably strongest Sanc in standard...just my opinion, damn I love the way honor binds us just multiplies the attack stat when creatures are adjacent to one another...

@Stevie: In the beginning I was also excited with fatty creature cards, when I was playing Inferno in the beginning all I wanted was Abyssal Lords...but you soon realise that those cards can be discarded for cheaper resources than it took you to put on the field, I mean one town portal,  broken bridge, soul reaver, for 3-4 cost can take these 6-8 cost creatures out.....and when players use their resources more efficiently than their opponents, that's when they gain the upper hand. I agree, the top sanctuary deck in open is Akane, next come Takana & Ishuma, Yukiko 4/4/2 isn't bad either.

Solution for starting first:

You get a joker card put in your deck that is 0 cost and adds 1 resource if you use it (like gold pile but no cost).
So starting first you have the option to go up to 2 resources, or use it later on...

I never drop important cards without defensive spells. And even if they manage to kill it, rofl. I'm freakin necro! Did you check my post 1 page before with me bringing back vampires 6 times? Crazy shiet

Well Atropos is unique, he is pretty much a must for almost every Necro deck, not just a Vampire based.

If you really like Vampire based deck, you will be crying tears of joy when you get Sveltana.
