hopefully they won't be back in a month. i don't remember the phishing/spambots posting more than a few times each.
there should be a way to make sure phishing/spambots can't create an account and post, period. i don't think the "intelligence test" works like it should. but i may be wrong; these accounts may actually be created by the vermin themselves.

The weird thing is that the account in question was created in september last year, but never posted anything until now. Unfortunately, we mods don't have the power to permanently ban anyone; the only one who can do so, is Valeriy.

you can permanently ban an account, but anyone or anything can just make another one. it's a losing battle either way. we might as well assimilate or be destroyed after the Awakening.

this isn't a problem, just something i'm curious about. this user doesn't have a "hero" designation under his/her name. their custom status is only a comma with a space after it, and that doesn't show up as their custom status under their name, either. another oddity: the profile claims that his post count is in the negative, but he actually has posts still available(meaning, he probably posted a bunch of times in a row to get the negative post count).
i'm guessing this happens because having a negative post count through repeating posts, tricks the hc software into thinking that that user doesn't really exist, so that no hero designation/custom status appears? anyone want to weigh in on this?

I'm not sure, but by the looks of it, Fred might first have become active outside the heroes game forums after Wog_edn stopped posting, which is kind of weird to consider.

In the "who's online" feature, there is currently a bot "kicking robot ass", lol. Must be the alpha bot that will one day become skynet.

We've had over 100(sometimes over 200) "guests" logged in to the main hc page. It's been like this for a couple hours now, and hc is slow af due to the traffic, from which, while noobx jokes, i suspect really ARE unrecognized bots. I just had the webpage crash, as well.
The question is, what can be done about these bots? They may not be constant, but even sporadically they're a nuisance.

there used to be links to some freemium crap that Val had implemented at some point. one of them was a robot fighting game.

I liked that robot game except for all the in-game purchases, even then not purchasing anything and with bugs eating my gear I got to league 2 of 20 (20 being the lowest) in Multiplayer with strategic building and thinking.
And yes, when you played that in the forum they mentioned you were "kicking robot ass". Noew this may persist as a forum bug for some states.
PS: The game was called Supermechs.
