Possible creature uses - Unfinished version
Hello this is Herry and i present you a surprise, for beginners mainly as it contains possible creature uses. At the moment it only has 2 creatures and is unfinished, i only posted this for a general view on the idea. for instance, i'm writing it on notepad, no updates, i'm going to finish the final version before posting anything more on this project, hopefully it will take a couple of weeks since i don't have that much free time. so here you go:
Ok so this thread basically is for beginners and is about the uses of creatures in HOMM 3. Warning: Might contain already known
content to pros, you have 5 seconds to leave or stay, 1...2....3...4...5, don't say i didn't warn you. ok so the point is basically
as everyone of you knows, the peasant unit is very widely underestimated, and that is a very big mistake, it might be true the A.I can't unleash its full potential but it will be easier if you yourself do.
Creature: Peasant.
Creature picture:
Information: This creature is widely underestimated along beginners, but can actually be the most tactically useful unit in game.
here is what you might think: Health, lowest, attack/defence, lowest, speed, lowest, this is a useless unit. IT IS NOT useless.
1st of all, their damage is NOT decreased at all, there is a limit to how low a unit's damage could be, and that's 1. in other words,
no matter the defense of your enemy, these are your pawns and they can deal huge damage depending on: weather or not a spell
has been used on them or quantity. one of the most useful uses is the sacrifice spell, and along with the elixir of life, which(funnily)
basically double a peasant health. let's say you want to revive a 250 health unit, with the elixir of life all you need is 125
peasants and that's quite affordable. they can also be used at the skeleton transformer and the deal is more than fair. i heard
that peasants give 0 xp if used in altar of sacrifice, problem? i have the solution: use these peasants in the skeleton transformer
first, get what i mean? and THEN sacrifice your skeletons. another use is made specially for heretics and demoniacs, these
peasants can be used with pit lords, which can be useful. and if transforming can depend on the target's health than use it
on skeletons. otherwise peasnats could be used to absorb damage and retaliation.
Creature: Harpy hag
Creature Picture:
Information: A very useful unit due to it's usally large numbers, high speed, strike and return and no retaliation ability.
This unit can be used to pull enemy troops to the location you want them to so the situation becomes suitable for your tactic.
A very good thing about this baby is that it can be used to take out very strong enemies with minimum losses, due to the two
strike and return and no retaliation ability. with a bless on this unit plus a large number, you can take out really powerful
units(NOT dragons, dragons can sink you in trouble as their speed is more than a harpy hag's) without even getting touched.
and with high morale and luck, you are at a great advantage.

It's a nice idea, but sacrifice doesn't work on the undead.

the problem i find with carrying peasents around: they slow your army down quite a lot
However i do agree they are perfect for skeleton transformers, or free units to place on your garrison.
Just don't use them against opponent necromancers!
Some more usefull tips for beginners:
Dragonflies: Split these little fella's in groups of 1 as much as your party allows. Use them to bring weakness upon all of your enemies or remove strong buffs (prayer, frenzy).
Same strategy counts for scorpiores, ghost dragons and basilisk, spread your chances for the ability chance!
